Rocky Acres Inn lives up to the information on its website. It is just far enough away (between Olmstedville and Schroon Lake) from small towns that we did not feel completely isolated, but isolated enough that the relaxing sound of Trout Brook and birds singing dominated the serenity of the grounds. It's nice (coming from New Jersey) to be able to walk down the road in either direction and not worry about being run over by a driver. The hospitality couldn't have been better--we were made to feel "at home away from home" by the owner-manager. She has a great sense of humor and supplied us with many sight-seeing options as a result of her large supply of maps and brochures.
