Description: At Petta's, we spend a majority of our time prepping our entrees with the perfect spices and sauces to make them as tasty as can be. All of our dishes are sauteed and cooked to order, using fresh ingredients. Our portions are large and our prices can't be beat. We have an extensive list of beers and wines to choose from as well as seafood and steaks. Our steak is some of our customers' favorite entree. Aged and cut on our premises, our steaks are juicy and cooked to perfection. Petta's offers plenty of vegetarian options too. Come in and try a Salad with our famous Blue Cheese Dressing, Soup, Veal Oreganata, Eggplant Parmigiana, Chicken Marsala, or Sea Scallops. Petta's is the premier restaurant destination in Schenectady with friendly staff, a charming atmosphere, and savory cuisine.

Family-ownerd, caring service, generous servings encouraging take-home leftovers (makes the prices more of a bargain). The bread is superior to the downtown bakeries. I usually order chicken oreganata - wonderful. Steaks are also fine. Side dishes are fresh, not overcooked. Salads are cold and crisp, probably just made and a high point.
Tip: If you are scheduled for a show at Proctor's, allow plenty of extra time; the kitchen slows down as the dining room fills up.

Once again we had dinner at Petta's in Schenectady - Restaurant Week 2013 was going on - certain dishes for $20.13 - but we just ordered off the menu.
The shrimp cocktail is the best - large shrimp and excellent sauce.
I had the veal and peppers over penne my husband the steak - both excellent. The soup and bread are very good too - you can bring the bread home with you - I got the rice pudding to go - enough for two!
The waiters Shawn and Bob are the best - when you go ask to sit at their tables.
Can say enough about the place it is my favorite!!!

Petta's is a wonderful restaurant. Delicious food. I had the chicken parm, which was huge. The meal was very good. My husband had the Chicken Michael. Chicken, garlic, roasted pepper and cheese. It was sooo tasty. Dinners come with salad or soup, pasta or potato and wonderful bread. The salad is more than just lettuce tomato. Try the peppercorn parmesan dressing.

A great family place to dine.

Good Italian fare. Restaurant is a great value with all the coupons they offer. Nothing fancy but good sized portions and sometimes the food is superb. My vegetarian wife loves greens and beans and can tell immediately if veggie or chicken stock was used to prepare it. First time we went she had her greens and beans and they were great. Next visit the greens were tough and she swears they used chicken stock..oh well..overall you can't beat the value and they have a patrolled parking lot since the neighborhood is in "transition"....
