Another diner, conveniently located along State Street/Central Ave. Busy, quick service, known for their pies and cakes. If you are looking for the classic diner experience, this is it.

“First visit from Massachusetts”
Reviewed December 10, 2012

We went to a local furniture store and after we were done there, we looked for a place to eat close by. I went to Trip Advisor and noticed that Blue Ribbon Restaurant was rated # 3 of 208 places to eat. There was 4 of us that went there for the first time. As we arrived to Blue Ribbon, the first thing we noticed was that the parking lot was full, which is a good thing. We waited about 10 minutes to be seated. As soon as we were seated, our very friendly waitress came over and greeted us. She took our order and we informed her that this was our first time here. Within minutes she brought the owner over and he was introduced to us and talked to us for 5 minutes. On to the food. 3 of us ordered the hand rolled fish and chips. It was excellent. I took my first bite and almost burned my mouth it was so hot. The fries were also very hot. You also get a soup and salad with the meal. We got the vegetable beef and Cream of Chicken Soup. AWESOME. They were both homeade soups!!! The other order was a grilled chicked salad. It was very large with lots of chicken. I didn't eat it, but they loved it also. We read all the reviews about the homeade cheesecake. So we decided to split one piece of plain cheesecake. Cheesecake was delicious!! Overall review. Staff was very friendly, place was clean including restrooms, food was very good and large portions and hot, soups were hot and homeade. I would recommend this place to anyone. Will most defiently return again!!!!!

“Can't Beat It !”
Reviewed December 1, 2012

We are frequent breakfast and dinner customers and have never been disappointed. My wife is a coffee snob and has never received, as she would put it a "tired cup of joe"..always fresh and hot coffee. They easily accommodate family groups and the often present line of customers moves quickly. It is a clean, fairly priced operationt with good selection of typical diner offerings..nothing fancy just ...goooooood

We have been going to the Blue Ribbon to eat for years!
Whether its for a cup of coffee and dessert, breakfast, lunch OR dinner -
we have never been disappointed!!
The portions are generous and the prices are reasonable.
The wait staff are always efficient and friendly - always coming back to our table to fill our cup of coffee one more time !! :) :)
The owners are there often and are friendly and accommodating.
We never hesitate to bring guests along with us to the Blue Ribbon because we know they will be happy with whatever they order!!
This is our 'go to' place to eat for any occasion or just to get a break from cooking!! :) :)
