The rose garden is located in Schenectady's Central Park, and in general the venue is a little tattered around the edges. In recent years there has been some renovation in the rose garden and parts of the park that have made the visit worthwhile. The rose garden itself has many beautiful species and is great fun for a picnic, quick lunch, or just a relaxing break. Having seen gardens from around the world, I can say the roses here are smaller than places like Europe, and the physical infrastructure and layout is somewhat minimal (i.e., some gardens have elaborate rooms and separated portions of the garden, this garden does not). This garden is pretty much laid out on the flat, with roses gathered into rectangular plots, with a few interesting features like fountains, sculptures and entrance arbors.
