Description: At FIG & OLIVE, we want to highlight our menu’s core ingredient of olive oil, which we use in place of butter in our dishes. From a sweet and delicate olive oil from the French Riviera that pairs well with a Steamed Lemon Sole Papillote to an assertive Spanish Picual or a Tuscan olive oil that holds its own with Seared Salmon with Fennel and Green Olives, and a green-fruit Provence olive oil that we serve with a Green Apple Sorbet. Our cuisine along with an elegant white, green and terra-cotta décor immerse our guests into the essence of the Mediterranean region.

Went here when it first opened and as other reviewer said service was totally overwhelmed when they were busy which ruin our experience. Gave it another try on an early Sunday night when they went so busy and everything was excellent food and service. My only complaint is the wine list would like to see more choices.

Ate there with a few friends on a busy Saturday night. This is a chain, so did not know what to expect.
The food is very good, the restaurant probably typically for a Scarsdale location is a bit overpriced and quite loud.
They try hard, but did only filled our water glasses at the beginning of the meal, then forgot to come back.
The wine list is reasonably priced and varied.
I would go back.

One of a small chain of upper-crusty trattorias, this suburban entry brings a whiff of Manhattan sophistication to pricey Scarsdale. The fourteen-foot-high space sprawls well back from the frontage on the Vernon Hills Shopping Mall. Inspired by the cuisines of the Mediterranean, the menu explores culinary possibilities from Italy, Spain, Morocco, and southern France. Somewhat unexpected but delectable options are the signature crostini, rectangles of toast with a variety of toppings, including choices of prosciutto, mushrooms, figs, salmon, shrimp, boquerones (Spanish anchovies), Marcona almonds, and many more. Plates of mixed olives or cheeses are other appetizer possibilities. Among main courses are chicken paillard tricked out with pickled red onion, almonds, haricot vert, and arugula, or salmon "a la Andalucia" with zucchini, fennel, and chickpeas. Reviewers who have found portions too small might want to reconsider their food intake. These are more than adequate. Service is efficient, for the most part, although it can be a challenge to order dessert, coffee, or the check.

Thisrestaurant has a wonderful ambiance and the food is very fresh and delicious. However, he portions are tiny and I left wondering when I could eat again. Service was great.

We had a social/business dinner on october 3, the first day of a new menu being offered. The magnificent mushroom/truffle oil soup is still there, and a few other original favorites, but also some new mains and appetizers. the Provencale-style flaky pastry mini-pizza was superb. The shaved artichoke suffered from being overly vold from the refrigerator, but the idea is excellent--just let it come up to room temp next time. My veal milanese was a tad over-cooked, but the dover sole en paillottee was very good. Great service from Ms. Olivia, a terrific Sancerre and a very affordbale and wonderful Cotes du Rhone folloowed by some delicious Port made for quite a meal. Good job!
