Description: At FIG & OLIVE, we want to highlight our menu’s core ingredient of olive oil, which we use in place of butter in our dishes. From a sweet and delicate olive oil from the French Riviera that pairs well with a Steamed Lemon Sole Papillote to an assertive Spanish Picual or a Tuscan olive oil that holds its own with Seared Salmon with Fennel and Green Olives, and a green-fruit Provence olive oil that we serve with a Green Apple Sorbet. Our cuisine along with an elegant white, green and terra-cotta décor immerse our guests into the essence of the Mediterranean region.

We made a last minute reservation online on a Saturday night and showed up 20 minutes early hoping our table might be ready. They were very apologetic & went out of their way to make us feel welcomed. Minutes later we were seated right on time.

We chose to share the cheese platter, a salad and a pasta dish. All were excellent, but we liked the cheese platter the best. Presentation was excellent on all counts. Wine was not inexpensive, but the quality was very good. We did not feel rushed at all and we found them to be quite accomodating. We will definitely be going back.

This place is just amazing. There were four of us and we got there early and sat at the bar for a drink - yummy cucumber cosmo and sangria roja. We were treated so well at the bar. When it was time for our reservation the table was promptly ready - a great table near the windows next to a rosemary bush which insulated us from the people coming in. Our waitress, Olivia, was phenomenal. She didn't just recite things and ingredients from memory, but you could tell that she had a real working knowledge of every dish and every drink and what compliments what. She was so attentive and even though it was a full dining room you would have though we were her only table, yet not too intrusive at the same time. The crostini were amazing - the zucchini carpaccio was out of this world. I had goat cheese and zucchini blossom ravioli. My husband had sole done in parchment paper that he is still raving about. The prices are in line with the service and the quality and uniqueness of the food. We had a SUCH a lovely evening - a non rushed perfect 3 hour dinner. Will be back again and again!

I almost hate to write this great review because I don't like waiting for a table, but frankly it deserves it. The food is just terrific, and the space is warm, contemporary, comfortable and just lovely. We often sit at the bar when we can't get a table, and both are lovely. The staff is really warm and hard-working, but sometimes they are overwhelmed and service can be a bit challenged. But the food and overall experience are worth it. Love having it in the neighborhood.

My husband and I had a very disappointing dinner here. We had taken out lunch from here once before and found it to be very good (very tasty sandwiches and fries), but dinner at the restaurant was a different story. The first issue was the food itself. For appetizers, we had the burrata (a special) that was very good and the gorgonzola cheese gnocchi, which wasn’t gnocchi at all but instead a ramekin of melted cheese. Now the cheese was very good cheese, it just wasn’t at all gnocchi. If there were gnocchi in there amongst all of the cheese, we couldn’t find them. I had one of the chicken entrees for dinner and, other than too little vegetables/sauce, it was fine. My husband ordered the lamb chops – way too small of a portion and overdone (he asked for medium rare, and these were medium well). Now, you’re probably thinking that he could have sent them back for being overdone, but this brings me to the other issue: inattentive, slow service. Even though we ordered right after the table next to us, our food came out at least 20 minutes after theirs did (they were actually done eating and onto dessert by the time our food arrived). And our waitress was never around when we needed her. So, by the time our food did arrive, my husband preferred to just eat the overdone lamb chops instead of wait for a new batch.

Great options, small plates abound. Entrees while good are not necessary. Wine list is nice as well.
