“Not Just Another Italian Restaurant”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 13, 2014

We dined here on a quiet Sunday evening. This restaurant has been open for about 7 weeks and is located where Vincents and the Kaatsban Inn was located on Malden Turnpike. Interior was warm and classical friendly. Menu was varied and interesting. Most items were prepared in a Northern Italian manner with excellent quality and taste. Joseph, the owner was pleasant and spent time with us explaining his menu and his goals as a new restaurant in the area. Many items on the menu are not available in this rural area and certainly will be appreciated by the patron looking for something different. Certainly worth a visit.

“A culinary gem!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 10, 2014 via mobile

A pleasant surprise in the Saugerties/Catskills area. The warm welcome from the owners make you feel like family. We had a wonderful experience from the diverse menu, great selection of wines, homemade bread, delicious desserts, beautiful atmospere, attentive service, and a well stocked bar. The grilled octopus appetizer was tender and tasty, overall outstanding, the homemade potatoe gnocchi with gorgonzola sauce a culinary delight, the veal scallopine was the best we've had, and the parmesan crusted chicken al limone was delighful. Many wonderful Italian treasures to be had on the menu. A return visit is a must, and worth the ride from New Jersey.

“Outstanding”

What a great place. Saugerties is not short on places to eat but Annarella is not only the new kid on the block but they are simply OUTSTANDING. I have been there 3 times in the 2 weeks they have been open. First on opening night. It was a sure hit even with the few little kinks that had to be resolved. By my second visit they were all resolved. I was there with my family. We all have different taste buds so we ordered a healthy mix of there offerings. The antipasto was the first to be had. It was excellent with the assorted olives and fine imported meats and cheeses Large portion and all good. We also had a table order of risotto it was fantastic as well. Its quite hard to find a good true risotto and this was as authentic and very tasty. I had the veal scallopini its flawless. Thin tender very fine. The service is very good the bread was mad fresh. The décor and table settings tops. The table cloths were one on one very fancy. Well the place is a must go too.The owners are very polite and helpful with the extensive wine selection. Overall a great place and NOOOOO I don't work there or related this place is just that good.

“An Unsung Jem”

Our whole experience was very good. Varied selection of wines. The antipaste was ample and the Parmesan and meats were very good. We were a party of 4 and everyone had an delicious experience. We had the liver, wild boar pasta, chicken al limone and lasagna entrees. I would recommend for Italian food in the area.
