May 2007 was our sixth visit to Saratoga Farmstead. On every occasion, we have been delighted with the comfort of the accommodations, the peacefulness and convenience of the location, and the charm of our hosts. The guestrooms and public areas are quaint yet comfortable, breakfast is more than ample and carefully prepared, and there are several decks and porches to enjoy the 10 acres of flowers and fields. The innkeepers, Marianna and Rosemary, go out of their way to meet their guests' every need.

This is the perfect spot for families visiting Skidmore College, as it is less than 5 minutes from campus, and there's not even a traffic light between the Inn and the main quad. 5 minutes will also bring you to "downtown" Saratoga, or to Saratoga State Park and the Performing Arts Center.

We've just returned from Skidmore graduation, so sadly will spend far less time at the Inn. It's time for the next generation of Skidmore parents and other guests to Saratoga to enjoy the Saratoga Farmstead.

It has been almost six years since we stayed there so the details are a bit fuzzy, but the nice experience we had will be remembered for a long time to come. I remember going out onto our deck overlooking a field speckled with hundreds of fireflies which were under a full moon...In the morning, we were greeted by an extremely friendly cat at our door. We were pressed for time to catch a flight, so they rushed a delicious breakfast by getting up early with us...We hope to go back this year.
