Description: Anchoring Saratoga's vibrant downtown Forno Bistro is a family-owned bistro that offers a variety of rustic, Tuscan-style food rooted in tradition. Our chef's use only the freshest seasonal ingredients to prepare dishes with respect to their flavors, appearance and aroma. The menu is sophisticated but approachable, expressing the sense of hearth and home that defines the Tuscan style of life. Forno Bistro's rustic, Tuscan-style food is hearty and unpretentious with sophisticated flavors rooted in tradition and always open to new interpretations and adaptations. Many of our dishes are greatly influenced by the use of the wood-fired oven: homemade pizzas, sauteed calamari, and wood-fired towers of vegetables. The oven is always the inspiration.

“Busy Place”
Reviewed November 20, 2012

We enjoyed dinner at Forno on a Saturday night in November. We had reservations but had about a 25 min wait which we spent in the bar area which was very crowded - bar itself was full and several diners were eating at high/long pub table. We were definitely in the way and felt a bit intrusive as we waited. Eventually, we were able to get closer to the bar and I enjoyed a ginger mojito which was delicious. The bar tenders were very friendly and provded excellent service. We were seated in a small, fairly private section of the restaurant. Dinner was excellent including the large spinach salad the we shared and we also shared a peanut butter/chocolate gelato bombe that was yummy. The atmosphere is casual and bistro like - temp. in the bar area was Hot as is was so crowded. Prices were very reasonable. I would definitely come back - but maybe not on a busy weekend night.

“Delish and great service!”
Reviewed November 5, 2012

We just had an EXCELLENT meal at Forno this past weekend. We are VERY picky when it comes to eating out and we expect food, service, and atmosphere to be on par with the area and price point. Forno really topped our expectations. From the wine to dessert every bite was delicious. It wasn't cheap, but we were very happy with the quality of the food and service. At about $50 per person we had a bottle of wine, appetizer, entree, coffee, and dessert. Will definitely be back.

“Can't get the pizza right”
Reviewed October 29, 2012

For the second time, they messed up our take out pizza order and had to remake it. Maybe a decent place to sit down for dinner but stick with Pope's for take-out.

“Excellent Italian in Saratoga with great atmosphere”
Reviewed October 21, 2012 via mobile

We went as a party of six. We were seated promptly per our reservation. Everyone had different entrees. We all were very pleased. The bistro atmosphere was warm and the staff were very welcoming. I would highly recommend it!

“Tasty Takeout!”
Reviewed October 12, 2012

We were staying across the street at the Hilton, and decided to order take out to eat in our room, since our toddler was pretty worn out from the day. We ordered a mushroom stuffed foccacia bread, a kids cheese pizza, calamari and a bean, shrimp and artichoke dish. All 4 were absolutely delicious! Atmosphere seemed nice when we picked up the food- so it would be nice to go back and dine in sometime. Overall, really good.
