“Meh”
Reviewed October 16, 2012

Its okay. I'm sure its more pretty in the spring. Its a trip that will take about 10 minutes of your time. Unless you take a book to read or something. but you can hear the traffic from the highway. :(

“Why the hype?”
Reviewed October 12, 2012

I know this is a popular spot for photographers. I was curious to see it myself, but it is now so overused I'm not sure why people still shoot there. Also, the gardens are really nothing nice. They don't seem to keep them up at all. When you compare this to a place like Westbury Gardens, there is just no competition. But Westbury Gardens has more traffic and also charges $15 a person for admission. The Yaddo could be built up to be so much more and become real destination for people in the area and people visiting, but it remains the same.

“Wonderful, peaceful place”
Reviewed October 2, 2012

A wonderful place to wander and enjoy the peace/quiet the gardens have to offer. I am looking forward to returning in the spring and/or summer when everything is in bloom.

“Retreat for Artists”
Reviewed September 24, 2012

Yaddo is a beautiful area to visit. Lush grounds as well as beautiful flowers. Artists are painting in beautiful surroundings.

“Small and Sad”
Reviewed September 2, 2012

This place is SO tiny and sad. Its an ok place to play frisbee with your dog, but not much else. The roses are sparse and ill kept. The grounds are run down and depressing. And the fish... oh the fish. Who ever is caring for the koi in the fountain needs a beat down. They have zero shade and the water is so murky you can barely see the fish. I cant imagine what sort of filtration they have. The water is stagnant and terrible. SKIP IT!
