My husband and I have been going to the Saratoga Springs Jazz Festival the last weekend in June for over 20 years! It is the perfect venue to enjoy great jazz music in the beautiful outdoors performing arts center. The fest is 2 days Sat/Sun, from 12noon til about 10pm. You can buy tix for one or both days and for the amphitheater, lawn or both. Tents are allowed in certain areas. Bring your food, coolers, tables. There is a large craft tent where vendors sell their wares- food, jewelry, clothes, arts and crafts, etc. The food vendors have some really delicious goodies- from smoked turkey legs to cajun food and many things in between, including vegetarian. You can purchase alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages. After a set musicians have been known to mingle with the fans as well as sign CDs at a designated area.
The city of Saratoga Springs is lovely and really sparkles during the jazz festival. Restaurants and lots shopping. Also the famous Saratoga Racetrack. Lake George is nearby with lots of shopping outlets- Tommy Hilfiger, Coach, Nine West, Eddie Bauer, Banana Republic, etc.
I highly recommend the jazz festival or just visiting the area, it's really special.

Thank Michele W

No Saratoga Water at the Saratoga Performing Arts Center? What happened to buying local? Besides that love the ballet, orchestra but don't like not being able to bring in anything for a picnic etc...

A fun, if expensive, place to see the arts. Because of the sloped lawn, we like it better than Wolf Trap. NY City Ballet and Philadelphia Orchestra and staples during the summer, along with rock groups.

Recently went here to see Jason Mraz. First time at this venue and i was beyond impressed. Staff was outstanding and very helpful but more importantly, very friendly. Acoustics were phenomenal. The parking was slightly troublesome but no more so than any other major concert venue i have been to. The only real negative i can come up with is the signage in town to direct you to the venue was sporadic.

We went here to see Jason Mraz and loved this venue!! Beautiful grounds! I had a premier parking pass which was well worth it!! Got there early and had no problems with parking. Staff was helpful and friendly. The price of the alcohol was ridiculous!! We had front row seats so absolutely no negatives there. Wished Rochester had a venue like SPAC. I'll be back for sure!!
