(Sept 7-9) I prefer old Inns because they have so much character and this one was very cool. Small and cozy with a nice small tavern and neat side room. We were 11 coming from different locations all arriving around 5 pm and had appetizers in the side room which were all excellent. (Crab cakes, Grilled Flatbread - Roasted tri-color tomatoes, house made mozzarella, fresh basil, arugula, Lobster Mac & Cheese & the Antipasti Plate-a variety of cheeses, cured meats, olives, & warm nuts). Our waiter Patrick was the best.
Breakfast was included and very good where Coffee, muffins/toast, fruit/yogurt were available at 5:30-6 am with warm food following at around 6-7 am. The morning staff were super nice.
The rooms were large enough and comfortable. Window A/C worked fine. The front desk staff were very courteous and helpful.
It's on Broadway (the main street) and a very short walk to the downtown area.
Keep in mind this is a vintage Inn so nothing like a modern hotel. Much more interesting and more of an experience!More
