“Excellent ingredients lead to tasty thin crust delights”
Reviewed November 21, 2011

Our family of four stopped in on a recent Friday evening. This place is all about the healthful thin crust pizza and the one-of-a-kind french stone pizza oven. We have eaten here several times and can always count on delicious hot thin crust pizza. There is nothing else like this in the Saratoga Springs area which tends to focus on traditional pizza. We also orderd the salad of the day which was fresh and cripsy, however it was a bit over-sweet, with a sweet maple dressing and sweet dried cranberrys, a little too much. my only negative about the place is the ambiance. It is a large open room , with the pizza oven on one end. It really detracts from the dining experience and to me will always be a choice for family night out, not necessarily a bad thing. I just wouldn't want to go on a date or even an adult group gathering here. My suggestions are to use some low cost interior decorating techniques or may some moderate costs reconstruction to redo the dining area. They have a bar, but we typically to do not go into that area. If in the area and craving california, tasty thin crust, this is a must stop!

“Wonderfully flavorful food!”
Reviewed October 2, 2011

My husband and I took a fall ride on a rainy day, and timed it so that we could be at Harvest and Hearth when they opened at 4:30. There were several parties that arrived when we did, and we were all seated promptly. The main dining room is large, and we had a great view of Fish Creek--as well as the roaring fire in the pizza oven. Our server was pleasant, and served our beverages (Saratoga Mineral Water and Boylan soda) in a timely manner. We were going to order two garden salads, but took our server's advice and only ordered one--as she had indicated that the salads could easily serve two. The greens were fresh and full of flavor, but what really made the salad was the homemade dressing--poppyseed and blue cheese. SO GOOD!! We wanted to try several of their pizza options, so we settled on a small pepperoni (pepperoni--no nitrates), as well as a large that had a delicious blend of fresh organic cheeses, herbs, sausage, mushrooms, and anchovies. Again, the flavors were unbelievable--and the pizza was delicious. We had plenty of leftovers, so I was able to bring pizza home to my 86 year old mom--who also loved it. We will definitely return.

“Good food, lousy service”
Reviewed September 1, 2011

We made reservations for 8:45 for a group of 10. We had to wait until after 9:30 to be seated and by then there were only 6 of us left. Some just couldn't wait that long. The servers made us feel like we were an inconvenience to wait for a table. When we finally got seated, we had a lot of problems with the service. We had to ask for enough silverware for everyone. They forgot to bring our soup. We kept getting dirty looks from out waitress. The soup and pizza were very good. I would only return if it was not crowded and I got a different server.
