“Wonderful find off the beaten path.”
Reviewed June 30, 2009

I lived in the Saratoga area for over five years and was familiar with a number of the hotels and motels in the area. Trying to find a cheaper alternative for a short stay, I found this gem. If I had only known before! The room was large, clean and well equipped. The bathroom was very roomy. (Try to fit more than one person in a typical hotel bathroom.) The microwave and mini-fridge were a pleasant surprise. It is as nice as anything in town at half the price. We will definitely be back.

When I first arrived at the Adirondack, the manager, owner, and maintenace staff went out of their way to provide absolutely everything and anything needed for my extended stay.  If ever there was a cleanliness issue, it was taken care of with the snap of one's fingers.  The same goes for telephone service, television provisions, lighting provisions, towel/sheet/bedspread changes and couch covers, movies and videos supplied, laundry needs, top notch pet accommodations with ample space and freedom to walk the dogs, any noise issues, or any pet or visitor need or difficulty.  Coffee and snacks often were available in the lobby, along with hundreds and hundreds of videos that the owner thrives on and enjoys full heartedly.  The pool was the optimal, and it was always clean and well cared for.  I was a fish during any and all possible swimming weather days and evenings.  The screened-in bar, and the screened-in multiple bamboo huge huts/decks with wireless inernet and tables/chairs available throughout, all the more made the conveniences of home available.  Private rooms, private houses, private apts are made available during the ''on and off'' seasonal visits.  The woodsiness, Saratogian upscale Adirondack style, farm-feel, nature's earthiness all make the stay feel like country, city, glory, peace, and convenience.  While being right  NEXT DOOR to the local High School (where they have long lists of Adult Educational Programs plus student football games, etc),  the new YMCA, a cemetery, a huge farm, a new Fire Department,  the Spa State Park w/ballet & concerts & Gideon Hotel Conferences and Restaurant and Guest Rooms & Golf courses & mineral baths & warming huts & winter cross country skiing & outdoor Victorian and Peerless Pools with a cash bar and restaurant on premise, as well as the region's AAA Travel Bureau and brand new Post Office (just around the corner), and just a hop-skip-jump to nearby State Route 87 Exit 13N and 13S-----HOW CAN WE GO WRONG?  There's even a brand new little unique restaurant within walking distance that just opened late last year of 2008.  Of course, as many well know, there are the summertime horse races, and the year round casino's, where '''the action is'' during late July through Labor Day.  Saratoga even has '''painted horse statues''' and '''limosines''' and '''horse and buggys'' to enjoy, as well as the downtown's restaurants, Chamber of Commerce, Shops,  and Congress Park's Carousal (sp?) and Duck Ponds and Museum and Concerts and 4th of July tremendous Firework Display.   I do believe that the Spa State Park's 4th of July super duper firework display can also be seen almost from one's guest room at the Adirondack Inn as it is only 1/4 a mile away.  And there is Saratoga Lake which has boating and rowing competitions and more.  There are marinas and restaurants around the lake on Route 9P just a few miles east of the Adirondack Inn that are pretty superb as well. The Adirondack goes out of their way to be Top Notch not because they are competitive, but because they truly love and enjoy their Inn and its guests and returning customers year after year.  The Inn is like family to the owner and management.  And most important of all, MAN'S BEST FRIENDS are welcome anytime!   There's ROOM for the ENTIRE FAMILY, how much better does it get?  All my beloved pets are right here with me, cuddled up together, even with my Fluffy Champion Siamese sleeping in the arms of my cocker spaniel, while my parakeets tweet away with the crack of dawn and throughout the day, until their picturesque picture window view closes at sunset.    To be honest with you, the Inn has everything one could want.  If one wants to be on top of Saratoga's downtown with no car, then there is the downtown hotels, but Adirondack is so well located, and is only less than  a mile from the downtown heart of Saratoga,  There is a bus stop right next door to the Inn, and the Inn also provides transport service to its guests, and there is the Saratoga Amtrak Station just down the street about 1/4 of a mile away, if that.  When you come to Adirondack, you have quiet, peace, rest, enjoyment, friends, nature, and all of Saratoga's gifts right in the palm of your hand to engage in fully.  It's my favorite place in Saratoga to stay, for there is peace mixed with rest and fun.  I'm Barbara Naylor and I have enjoyed my extended stay at the Adirondack Inn, which rates within  the top 8 best hotels/motels/inns in Saratoga Springs, NY.  This Inn is a natural personable peaceful fun places to be anytime during the year at Saratoga Springs, and it is one of the most reasonable.  For what it offers, it can't be beat, in my humblest most honest opinion.   Welcome to Saratoga, and give the Adirondack Inn a try.  I'll guarantee you'll like it.  I DID WITHOUT A DOUBT.  ENJOY!

We just returned from a long weekend in Saratoga Springs and the Adirondack Inn. We loved staying here! This isn't a fancy place by any means, but it more than makes up for it in charm, service and friendliness. Our room was clean and comfortable, looking out on the garden and pool from the back, and a corn field from the front. There are chairs outside where you can sit and relax. Our room was quiet, we never heard any street noise or noise from other rooms. The staff are super-friendly and they offer a free shuttle to the track at your convenience. A continental breakfast is served in a screened-in gazebo where you can chat with other guests. We will be booking again next summer for sure.

This is a wonderful, unpretentious place just southwest of Saratoga's main drag (Broadway). After trying many places during the racing season in town, including the Adelphi, Grand Union, Holiday Inn, Community Court, Downtowner, Prime and St. Charles, I have settled on the Adirondack and eagerly anticipate my return in July. I have been going to the Adirondack with my wife, son and dog for the past 4 years.

On its face there is really not much to the Adirondack,. You wouldn't think much of it if you just drove by. But is has more substance than what you can see on the surface. Clearly the Adirondack isn't for you if you are looking for gyms, nice lobbies, restaurants on site and well appointed rooms- The Adirondack is a motel. But it offers something different- gazeboes where you talk horses with the other guests, cottages with decks, and open space- a lot of it- so you can sit outside and take in that Adirondack air. The open space and the communal nature of the motel and its guests (part of the charm is the varied assortment of people that stay here, from horse people to small time owners to concertgoers to horseplayers like me, including some that stay for the entire meet), I think, are what distinguish the Adirondack from its Saratoga bretheren. I characterize the Adirondack as a campground feel (friendly guests, bbq grills, picnic tables) but with real rooms, cable TV and wireless internet.

Location wise, it is a little off the main drag, which helps on the rates, but is actually fairly convenient. You can actually manage much of your trip without a car if your main objective is to go to the track (hotel takes you there and back), hit the Horseshoe or Siros just outside the track gate and go back to the hotel. I've walked back from the Horseshoe and its an easy 1.5 miles, if that. Cabs are plentiful. It's about 2 or 2.5 miles into the center of town where most of the restaurants and bars are.

Very friendly, hospitable staff and owner (who is often present chatting up the guests). My wife- not a horseplayer by any stretch- is perfectly happy here with my child and dog. As long as I'm going to Saratoga, I'm going to the Adirondack Inn.

We eagerly anticipate our return to the Adirondack Inn each August because we just love the racing excitement of Saratoga and the comfort and friendly, relaxed atmosphere of the Adirondack Inn.

The owner (Morris) and manager (Peggy) personally oversee every aspect of the motel's operation, ensuring that their guests lack none of the amenities that assure comfort and cleanliness throughout their stay. Win or lose at the races, it is always a wonderful treat to return to the Adirondack, sit outside or in the gazebos, and share stories about the day's events with other other guests.

We would not think of staying anywhere else In Saratoga!
