Very happy with our choice of motel for our first stop on a road trip through the Adirondacks. The host upgraded us to lake view even though we had booked through a reseller at a reduced priced.

They greeted us upon arrival and took the time to show us around. The room was clean, the bed confortable and a new walk in shower. The room had coffee maker, mini fridge and is walkable distance to restaurants.

You can also borrow bikes, canoes and kayaks at no extra cost.
Fantastic!

Only thing I would recommend to owners is the addition of racks or shelving in the shower as there is nowhere to put your personal items while showering. Same thing in the bathroom itself, no counter space or shelving to put toiletries. Just a suggestion!

We stayed here on anniversary trip. Nice big room with balcony overlooking lake. Sat out each night with hot cocoa listening to the quiet! Very nice staff! Bathroom small, tricky for women with lots of toiletries but beautiful area! Lake Placid was fun and visiting the North Pole which is near by. Great scenic drives.

Room somewhat disappointing...only average in quality and size. Bathroom tiny...only blinds across window for privacy from those walking by the room. Different water equipment on edge of lake hindering part of the view of lake from the room. Had much difficulty opening the door to the room using an old fashioned key.

Our room was steps away from the water. Beautiful views. Lady at front desk was very accommodating, took us for a tour to our room and explained all the added amenities. Small amenity fee included in your stay, includes access to canoes, SUPs, fishing poles, tennis rackets, etc.
There is a pool available.
Walking distance to many restaurants.
Room was clean and spacious.

2nd stay for us. Dan, the owner,& staff, did an excellent, friendly job in rectifying a last minute room change, providing a win-win situation. Kayaks, paddle boats, boards , canoes and bikes provided for free, along with a clean pool, tennis rackets, etc! Within an easy scenic walk to the village. McKenzie's provides discounted meals right across the street. The rooms are being updated, which is needed, and is the only reason not to rate it a 5!
Hope to visit, again!
PS: Elvis is outside the building!
