The motel is family run. It has a very convenient location. Walking distance from the center of the village of Saranac lake and along the route to Lake Placid, Route 87.
Lake Flower is just across the street offering a place to put a canoe in the water and a nice view of the mountains.
The room I was given was very clean and comfortable. The heating worked well, so did the TV. The bed was very comfortable. I stayed for 3 nights and I would return anytime.
In the morning the guests are offered free coffe to start the day.
The couple who own and run the motel are very hospitable and service minded. I travelled from Norway in Europe to stay at Amanda's motel and I can recommend it to anyone who are looking for a clean, comfortable and reasonable place to stay in the Adirondack. I was charged $ 65/night, and October is peak season because of the fall foliage experience which brings people to the area. I am pleased to be able to recommend the Amanda's Village Motel in Saranac Lake, New York, USA.More
