“Best coffee in Saranac Lake region”
Reviewed September 9, 2013

Ive only been here for coffee and a snack (every July for the last 3 years) but have enjoyed it very much. The staff are friendly, the place clean, and there is a nice outdoor seating area. They do have the best coffee in the Saranac Lake / Lake Placid area.

“bad server”
Reviewed September 4, 2013

I frequent this restaurant for breakfast, but this last time I had a bad server. when she did make an appearance to work, she was slow and disconnected. she didn't write my order down and then forgot part of it.
however, the food is good and I will probably go back.
she was tipped appropriately.

“unexpected”
Reviewed August 27, 2013 via mobile

I was on vacation with my 2 children. We were looking for places that served late breakfast and discovered there are not to many around. I had a bit of drive to get there because we were staying in Lake Placid but the drive was easy and very pleasent. The food was good, but there seemed to be a fly issue once we got our food and that became a major turn off. We did not finish our meal even though we liked it because of the fly issue. It was very warm out, they did not have A/C on but had the door open and a screen door for access. cute little place but they need to work on the fly problem. Coffee was very good.

“Poor food quality and slightly overpriced”
Reviewed August 26, 2013

I saw good reviews here and chose to eat at this restaurant and I was disappointed. I ordered the ribs, though the quantity is good, it was actually warm outside and cold inside -- it appeared someone microwaved it...The shrimp and sausage Cha Sui was 18$ and it was just some Chinese style fried vegetable with rice, some shrimp and sausage. Not tasty at all and too expensive for what it was. The portobello mushroom stuffed with vegetable was OK. It was a nice idea and looked good, but does not translate into great taste.

“A Disappointing Visit”
Reviewed August 23, 2013

The Blue Moon promises, by it's interesting menu, to be a bit out of the ordinary for Saranac Lake. Four of us ate dinner there, but I'm sorry to say that the amateurish performance disappointed. It was a Friday night and they seemed a bit overwhelmed by the volume of business. We waited a long time after being seated before we a waitress was ready to take our orders. Then we waited interminably until our salads appeared; an appetizer never came at all. Soon after the salads arrived our main courses arrived. Long waits for condiments were annoying as dishes cooled while we waited. At least three waitresses helped us and some were pleasanter than others, but the service was disorganized and we again had interminable waits to order dessert, to be served our dessert order, to get attention to request our bill. Bottom line was a simple dinner: three salads, one appetizer that never arrived, one cheeseburger, two veggie burgers and an order of barbequed ribs, plus dessert and tea in a small, informal café, took approximately an hour and three quarters. The food was generally good, although the cheeseburger, ordered medium-rare was served rare.
There isn't a huge selection of restaurants in Saranac Lake, so it probably doesn't help to suggest going elsewhere, though.
