“The best little secret in Saranac Lake!”
Reviewed February 24, 2012

Across the street from Lake Flower this little deli makes almost everything homemade. Boar's Head meat. Fresh salads. Daily specials. Fast service. Lots of choices. It's a very popular place for us locals. Lunch time during the week is extremely busy but they get you in and out fairly quickly. Owners are there working every day. They also do a lot of catering. Just a few tables inside and a few outside. Great view of Lake Flower while you eat. Salads are yummy. This little business also gives back to the community over and over again.

“Beyond your average deli!”
Reviewed February 21, 2012

We were drawn in by the Boars Head sign ( a sure sign of good meat!) and immediately said 'wow' when we stepped in to this Deli. They are serving great sandwiches, made on delicious (possibly homemade) breads, with unique sauces ( hot pepper mayo) - custom made just as you like. There are numerous options for drinks, salads, dressings, and sides. A variety of micro-brews are also in stock to take home. The business is family owned and operated and they put care in their work and give great attention to customers. Be sure to stop in after a playing in the Adirondacks!

“Great for lunch or dinner on the run.”
Reviewed January 25, 2012

Great food and great variety. Foods in cooler to go are an awesome addition. Skip the fast food and get good home cooking here. Catering also available and equally great.

Great location to take a picnic accoss the street to the lake in the warmer months.

“Not just a Deli. It's a delight. Not pretentious. Value added.”
Reviewed December 14, 2011

This place is more than a Deli. They have off beat beers, Boar's Head meats and fresh cheeses. Toasted Rolls if you want and NY Rye bread if so desired. Friendly service, they smile and joke with the customers. But the subs, sandwiches and other offerings are to salivate over; which we did as soon as we entered. You can eat in if you don't mind plastic chairs and commotion about you. Best for take out. I understand they do not have delivery but this is just hearsay. If you are on your way to LP or East and North a stop here for a top notch sub or sandwich is a must. Fresh meats, great dressings, rolls and breads, all upper shelf. As you drive past Lake Flower north/east look left before the funky turn in Saranac and you will find the best Deli this side of where ever you are coming from. I enjoyed the Italian Sub. Great menu of choices. Others of our group ordered menu choices and everyone raved. Not for those of you who are "snobbish" they don't seem to like you much.

“It's just a deli, but what a good deli!”
Reviewed November 29, 2011

I'm not sure this should be listed as a 'restaurant' because they have maybe four seats in the place. It's just a deli that serves take-out customers mostly. But, given that it's across the street from the park and lake, it does really well.

I've never had anything, ever, to complain about with Lakeview Deli. Everything is fresh as can be. And if you like baked beans like I like baked beans, you absolutely must drop everything now and go get some baked beans from Lakeview. Really. And they make sandwiches on various kinds of bread, including a fabulously authentic French baguette (but don't expect to find that on a Sunday.)

Service is quick and friendly, and the prices are reasonable. But of course the food is good: the owner's from Brooklyn!
