“Food isn't Irish!”
Reviewed October 22, 2012

We initially wanted a nice Irish stew on a fall evening and there was not one Irish food on the menu and they actually had Italian food which I found very strange. The beer was delicious though. I had a the prime rib sandwich which was just a way too big pile of well-done meat with gravy. I have to say the mashed potatoes were outstanding though....and staff very friendly.

“A terrific local eatery and pub --A diamond in the rough.”
Reviewed August 19, 2012

Loughrans has been a local favorite for over 30 years.
A bit dark and basic but you don't eat or drink the atmosphere.
Always busy, especially on Fri. & Sat. nights
The food is consistent and plentiful
The beer and ale is always cold and fresh.
The pricing for both are very reasonable and the folks who both own it and associates who work there are very kind and upbeat.
Weekday specials are to good to be true.
Mon. & Tues....A tasty roasted prime, (rib bone) that covers your plate over an 1-1/2 inch thick, veggie and boiled red potatoes, Irish soda bread included $15.95. Most folks take a doggie bag home.
Wed. & Thurs. A 1-1/4 lb. steamed lobster dinner with local corn on the cob, Irish soda bread and red boiled or mashed potatoes and melted butter $13.95 complete
They also have an extensive menu with everyone's usual favorites, chicken, steak or fish etc.
Loughran's is a true diamond in the rough for quality and value.

“Great place to eat after a day outdoors.”

Four of us had burgers and beers here and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. It has the look of a true Irish pub, a bit dark with old booths and friendly atmosphere.

“Pathetic place but would probably seem a lot better if you drank more”
Reviewed August 13, 2012

Walk into the restaurant and enter a small hallway where directly in front of you is a cubby with vacuum cleaner and assorted junk flanked on either side by the women and men's restrooms. No hostess station in site (that's way off in the dining room next to the kitchen). So, you wait until someone decides to come by to see if there are customers. Food was sad. Mini tacos for an appetizer were clearly horrid frozen things with a non-descript filling. Burger was dry and overlooked with a huge bun; fish & chips was a gloppy fried mess with waffle fries. The tartar sauce was fine. Ugh!
