We just got back from our first visit to the Seneca Allegany casino and were pleasantly surprised at how lovely it is inside! It's small, yet very cozy and easy to maneuver around. The entire facility was spotless...Rooms were large, very nicely decorated and immaculate, with super comfortable mattresses and a very large tiled shower. Even a magnifying makeup mirror for those of us whose eye site isn't so great anymore! Food at the buffet AND the restaurants was excellent, much better than the Niagara Falls casino, and the staff was very pleasant! Their slots were great, all the old favorites, and not as many new video machines which I don't care for anyway. Those that claim a 97% pay back worked for me and then some! I LOVE this place, and will definitely go back again and again! Just a short, scenic drive from the Buffalo area, it's well worth the trip for a quick getaway or mini-vacation! Don't miss this one!

Staying at the Seneca Allegany Casino Hotel used to be a great experience. Room-wise, it still is. The rooms are large & clean, the beds are still very comfortable, the hotel part is overall fairly quiet. If you're just going here for the hotel, then I still recommend the stay on that part alone.
Where the establishment is starting to slip is in the casino section. The machines have always had a reputation for not "paying out" all that great and that still seems to be the case. They've upped the minimums on the table games as well. I used to love playing roulette when the minimum was $5, that has been raised now to $10 minimum and it's just too rich for my blood. Same issue with the video poker machines at the casino bar where you once could play for 25 cents, they now start at 50 cents and so on.
The Western Steakhouse and Fire Lounges are not open on Mondays & Tuesdays anymore (at least The Pateria is stil open on those days, although it's about the weakest of the second floor restaurants) The Thunder Mountain Buffett has seen the most cutbacks however. The turkey breast disappeared from the carving station a couple of years ago and as of Labor Day, the crab legs have been eliminated as well. It's menu is now set and it appears to consist of the stuff that would cost them the least to put out. I used to love to go here just for dinner alone, but no more, even knocking off $5 on the price isn't compensation enough for ruining what was once a great buffet. Hit the Seneca Cafe instead, it's cheaper, has most of the same stuff and is open 24 hours.
It's hard to believe that a casino has to cutback like they have, especially when the place still seems as busy as it ever has been. They need to stop these moves that have already hurt their reputation and driven formerly loyal players off the other, non-Seneca casinos.

Room was great, nice shower. Buffet was terrible. The food was dried out and the seafood tasted a little well let's just say it was tasteless. The slots are very, very , very , very tight. The hotel is very expensive for where it is located and some of the staff was a little rude for people of my ethnic background.. They seemed to not want to touch your hand or really deal with you. But it is a beautiful hotel with very spacious rooms. But if you like slots it's extremely tight. If you come during the week that's when it seems to be a ghost town there was no entertainment at all but on the weekends it's more people and the slots do give a little not much but a little.

An outstanding establishment. Comfortable, oversize rooms. Great restaurant choices from Bistro to Elegant and much in between, including a very impressive buffet. Friendly, helpful staff from Porter to Manager. Gaming/Casino areas are well maintained, and very clean. We visit other Hotel/Casino operations; including Vegas and Atlantic City, but we keep coming back to Seneca!

First time staying at Seneca Allegany, unfortunately our first contact with a staff member put a damper on our stay. We came to the front desk around 12:30 and dealt with a middle aged blonde woman, when my husband went to check in, she told us rather rudely that rooms are not ready until 4 p.m., that they had to be cleaned and we should check back around 3:00. It was just her attitude that put me off, she was downright mean and rude. We are regulars at Seneca Niagara. The rest of the staff were nice, I would not recommend the buffet, it was terrible, something along the line of an Old Country Buffet ( you get my drift) Room was nice but not as large at Seneca Niagara. I would not travel all the way down to Salamanca again and would rather stay at Niagara.

Can not say enough, where do I begin....
Came upon property on the way home after visiting Niagara Falls for lunch & a few hours of gaming LEFT 4 days later!
The Alleghany region is picturesque.
The hotel immaculate. The rooms spacious to say the least.
Wide selection of gaming. Slots & Tables.
Dining is unique. Steakhouse, Cafe/Diner & Buffett. I normally do not enjoy a buffett but I was actually "spinning" on the selections.
Outdoor whirpool spa gratifying. Indoor pool/spa spacious.
Joined the players club and quickly received promotions and cash back.
Almost acheived the select club status in 4 days.
The entire staff accommodating and beyond friendly.
Definately will return!!! :)
