“Playground on the beach!”
Reviewed April 12, 2013 via mobile

Great playground for kids to play right on the beach.
However, its not for swimming, but it is within walking distance of main street.
Enjoy it.

“Not the prettiest beach, but calm and shallow for kids.”
Reviewed July 19, 2012 via mobile

Was just there last week and it was open with a lifeguard on duty, so not sure what previous reviewer experienced.

“Not really a beach anymore”
Reviewed June 16, 2012

Now its a glorified playground. The town has prohibited swimming and there are no longer lifeguards on duty. Right next to a marina - so its a bit weird to "swim" next to yachts. The water is gray too - for beach fun, better off go to Long beach, about 2 miles away

“Best little beach for little people”
Reviewed March 31, 2012

Havens Beach, also known as "Tides," is calm, safe and shallow for little ones searching for scallops and hermit crabs along its edge. Having lifeguard and swings, it's a wonderful little spot where parents don't have to worry. Only concern: plenty of seaweed, but that only means the water is healthy.
