Description: Ruby's is a brilliant gem in downtown Rye. It is chic, casual and comfortable. It charms guests with its varied menu, friendly and professional service, and its lively ambience. Ruby's stylish decor showcases an authentic zinc bar from Paris, beaded chandeliers and ruby red drapes. From its coffered ceiling and tasseled sconces down to its marble mosaic floor, no precious stone has been left unturned.

Went to Ruby's with another couple last week.
Sat in the upstairs area, much less noisy than the bar area
Service was great, waitress very helpful. Nice selection of draft beers.
Lots of seafood dishes to choose from. Good salads.
A bit expensive, but it is in Rye so par for the course.
Overall a nice evening.o

I lived in FL for 20 years so, I know fresh fish. This is not it! I ordered Snapper & it was a pile of mush as well as the sweet potato puree. They use very large plates and to try a fill it with cooked pineapple chunks, also mush. They put some kind of weird sauce on it and didn't even serve it with lemon. There was no seasoning on it at all. My husband got the salmon and it was slightly better but not by much. It included rice pilaf that had extra veggies in it, he had to dig around to find the rice. It also came with some nasty broccoli and some warm slimy pieces of grapefruit. The bread was hard and cold, food was tasteless & overpriced. Overall pretty bad. It is even called an oyster bar but I had to ask the waitress if they had any because they are not on the menu, none of the raw bar items are. Plus, I thought that $2.25 each was a little expensive for the small oysters I saw at the next table. On the plus side, the service was good and atmosphere is lively.
Not recommended for fish but, the other items may be OK.

This is one of a group of restaurants in Rye with the same owners, which includes Rye Bar and Grille and Morgan's Fish House. The food and atmosphere at all are very good. The restaurant group really knows how to provide great food and service.

Wonderful food, nice variety of oysters. Delicious steamers - very sweet. I had the salmon and my boyfriend had the halibut. Both were very good! For dessert we shared the decadent chocolate fondue with the other couple we were with! It was so good - with lots of fruit and pound came for dipping. We will be back here soon, no doubt!
