Description: Ruby's is a brilliant gem in downtown Rye. It is chic, casual and comfortable. It charms guests with its varied menu, friendly and professional service, and its lively ambience. Ruby's stylish decor showcases an authentic zinc bar from Paris, beaded chandeliers and ruby red drapes. From its coffered ceiling and tasseled sconces down to its marble mosaic floor, no precious stone has been left unturned.

This was a first visit to this restaurant and on arriving I doubted we would get a table (having not booked). It was a Friday lunchtime and the place was packed with 'ladies who lunch', some couples and a few business people. The wait for our food was slightly longer than I expect but it was worth the wait. Service was efficient but not particularly friendly although that may have been due to how busy it was. I tried a salad which was very good but next time I will go for the seafood!

Thank Andy N

We go here every time we stay with our friends in Rye. Great service & atmosphere, excellent food - the calamari starter (and all starters) are huge, the steak frites are to die for and the deserts, if you have room, are delicious. It gets busy on a weekend so booking may be wise. Otherwise just drop by and have a good time

I recently went to Ruby's for my birthday dinner. All I can say is that I definitely intend on going back, especially now that the warm weather is here! Amazing food and fresh seafood, lovely atmosphere, and kind staff.
Had the scallop appetizer (amazing) and some tasty oysters. I also recommend the Pan-Seared Grouper for an entree!

Four of us had a very good Sunday lunch here 7 months ago. The oyster starters and all our seafood entrees were delicious. Glasses of wine were reasonably priced and offered a nice selection. Pleasant atmosphere and attentive service. Street parking is hit and miss but a municipal lot is a block or two away. Same ownership as Morgan's Fish house.

Started off the evening with 3 types of oysters - all fresh & briney. Lobster brushetta was lacking taste and one slice of bread was burned. Cheese fondue had nice taste - accompanying bread and apple were not very appetizing, we actually used the bread from the bread basket instead. We had 6 main courses and everyone was pleased. Our waitress was very attentive and professional. This was our first visit and we would return - private banquet table for our party was a great touch as it does seem noisy and we did enjoy the wine choices.
