“Not worth the repeat”

They allowed for us to bring our kosher food in. Staff was nice. A little pricey for the rides they offer. Started raining and some rides shut down. Worth to try once, but not to go again if traveling far

“nice grounds”
Reviewed August 4, 2013

we where a total of 4 people, we went late at night after 10PM we were just spectators, and best of all it was free, despite that they charge now for out of town's $10 per person, we explained the ticket booth that we stay at the hotel and we came to look around the White Plains area, they where nice enough and let us in for free. we liked the park a lot.

“Tiki Bar”
Reviewed August 1, 2013

I was planning a night for my girlfriend and I and after reading all of the bad reviews, I almost didn't go. SOOOO glad we did go. We arrived by boat into a protected area behind a breakwater. We pulled a FREE mooring ball and had a FREE shuttle take us into the pier. After spending a few hours on rides and enjoying a top notch firework display (Also Free and better than most 4th of July displays we've seen), we headed to the Tiki bar. We were instantly greeted by the hostess who seated us. The waitress was there within minutes for our drink order which, contrary to other reviews, were mixed well with a good portion of alcohol. Our waitress returned promptly for our order of Lobster bisque (delicious) and clams casino, also very good. Our entrees were good and service was attentive. The live music and liveliness of the bar added a nice back drop. The shuttle boat took us back to our boat. We are already planning to come back with the kids. We would recommend Rye Playland and the Tiki bar to anyone. Sure you're going to spend some money but a lot is included and you cannot beat the view and atmosphere. Thumbs up!

“Nice for all ages Small locally owned amusement park”
Reviewed July 31, 2013

We went last week with my kids ages 14 and 12 and their cousins ages 9 and 5. Unfortunately, the 5 year old was too small to ride the big rides, but there is a great smaller kid park that has cool enough rides that it was okay. The Dragon is the big roller coaster and we all enjoy it. The lines aren't too bad compared to the larger amusement parks. We were there during the week and it was busy, but we all were able to ride everything after a few minutes. The concession stand people take a long time, so bring your own food. There were 3 behind the counter and couldn't figure out how to work the register. It was completely bizarre. The workers for the rides are professional and friendly to the kiddos. Always nice. All around a nice time - we had the county discount - otherwise, kind of expensive. Saved me $25!
