I have been going to the Rye Roadhouse since its reopening in 2008. I have never had a less than perfect meal. If you are a lover of southern and New Orleans-style food, this is the place for you. The service is so friendly, and the food is excellent. I especially love the cornbread! Although this place is very casual, it is definitely the place to go when in Rye.

The roadhouse is one of those places that you would never just stumble upon. Its in a residential neighborhood and you shouldn't judge this place by its cover. But its just the place to go when you want pub grub with flare! Order some chili sticks and jambalaya and walk around the room looking for the perfect hot sauce to suit your taste. But whatever you do, don't miss out on the Jalapeno fried mac & Cheese. Its the best! They also have live music on Saturdays and great specials during the week, like half price burgers on Tuesday. They also have a great cajun style brunch.

Every dish at the Roadhouse is great especially the chilli and meatloaf. However, it does take longer than most restaurants in New York. The service is very friendly though.

The Rye Roadhouse is in an obscure section of Rye that is a bit hard to find. While the food isn't going to garner rave reviews from fans of Cajun cooking, it's the only Cajun for miles around. Rye is not short on upscale, chic little dining holes and this is not one of them. To me it's a welcome if seedy break from Yuppydom.

Place looks dirty. Old does not have. To be unclean. The food is ok. Nothing really stands out.
