I really wanted to like this place based on the reviews. but this place was a disappointment.

First of all, the rooms are really old and small and the amenities are terrible.
No hair dryer in the room (really?!), no phone, no wifi, not enough towels, AND ONLY HALF a roll of toilet paper.

And on top, the sheets smells funky and the beds are hard and uncomfortable and the beds creak. And the heater in the room doesn't work very well, and we were freezing our butts off. There was a portable heater that we tried to move closer to the beds, but as soon as we plug in the heater, the whole outlet goes out.

The bathroom was uncomfortably small and the sink was outside the bathroom.

Let's talk about food, the food here is not great. it's just ok. The best meal we had was probably the breakfast, which consists of eggs, pancakes, bacon, sausages, but who can messed that up really?
The dinning room is brightly lit, tables close to each other, and no music in the background. Felt like we were in a cafeteria if you ask me. it felt uncomfortable eating there.

The bar across the street was just ok, cheap drinks and cheap appetizers and free peanuts. Nothing spectacular.

I came here expecting a romantic get away, this place was far from romantic.

Don't think I would recommend this place

Room Tip: bring your own toilet paper and bring your own hairdryer cuz they have none!

Maria and Rich are wonderful and the location is killer! You feel like you are in the middle of nowhere, which is perfect for a romantic getaway. Hike the property, enjoy the waterfalls and eat some awesome home cooked meals. The tavern across the street was fun and the band was pretty good! Couldn't ask for a better weekend. We will be back!

Room Tip: The rooms at the back of the cottage face this hills.

I spent a fantastic weekend here as part of a women's motorcycle club's 25th anniversary. Nearly 60 of us relaxed, ate, and partied from Friday evening through Sunday lunch. The tavern as part of the property made for an especially safe and fun evening--anyone who wanted to get their party on could do so without worrying about transportation. Maria, Jim, and the tavern staff didn't blink an eye (except to laugh along) at the talent show acts, and they made us all completely welcome.

Room Tip: Rooms on the top floor were very quiet.

We had a wonderful time visiting the Glen Falls House last year. Rich and Maria are extremely nice and accomodating. We had originally booked 2 ngts but had to unexpectedly check out after dinner and they were more than understanding to our situation, and even issued us a refund. The food is the best in the area...especially the apple pie!!! I wish we could buy some to take home. We have stayed at the Crystal Brook , also extremely nice and homey however the food wasn't as good as the Glen Falls House. The rooms are clean and older style. The tennis courts were a bit worn down. All and all we felt so welcome.

Glen Falls House has everything you need, right there. There's a pool, porches for reading, a restaurant, a bar (with karaoke!), lawn games, a playground for the kids, beautiful trails to walk on, a waterfall or two, a field for games, wifi in the lobby, bikes for rent and accomodating owners, Rich and Maria, to make sure you enjoy it all.
