Description: Bryant & Cooper opened in 1986 with big ambitions: to bring the top tier New York City "steak house experience" to Long Island. Not only would the very finest quality, hand picked prime aged steaks be served, but an ambiance would be created that makes everyone feel like they are part of a special private club. For membership...just make a reservation. Founded by the three Poll brothers with two generations of restaurant ownership experience, Gillis, Dean and George learned at an early age that the secret of a great restaurant was to start with serving the very best. That is why the steaks, chops and jumbo lobsters are selected on a daily basis, and only the freshest side dishes find their way to a plate served at Bryant & Cooper. Over the years Bryant & Cooper has received superlative reviews for its entire menu. The New York Times has proclaimed it the "best steak house on Long Island."

Great steak house and so much more. The service is excellent. No waitress's, only men!
Great seafood. Soups are out of this world. Nice specials everyday. Better steaks than Lugers!

“One of the best steaks I have had”
Reviewed September 2, 2013

Must try the Cajun rib eye steak. I was one the best steaks I have had--perfectly cooked, juicy, so well seasoned. (The crowd and staff are a bit more seasoned also.) The vegetables (mushrooms, potato skins) were mediocre in taste, and we had an initial problem with a waiter being less than attentive/enthusiastic, but the steak made up for it. I think if you go here, you accept that the place, the crowd, and the wait staff are all--like my steak--well seasoned.

“Excellent steaks but big city noisy”
Reviewed August 7, 2013 via mobile

Being tourists in Long Island, we find the noise and density of a place like this to be unappealing. But the family we were visiting loved this place and it is true that they serve excellently prepared steaks which must be prime. We enjoyed the house salad with green beans, tomatoes and shrimp and splitting the Colorado bone in rib eye steak was way more than we could eat. The creamed spinach was disappointing but others in our party enjoyed the clams, the tuna tartar, the Caesar salad. And, of course the other steaks. Wine list is pricy. The place was packed so others must enjoy this steakhouse feel. We are glad we enjoyed it but would not go back as just a couple.

“Great Steaks”
Reviewed July 28, 2013

This restaurant should be simple called "Great Steaks". I go there twice a month and any of the steaks I order have been cooked to perfection. They also have a nice bar, choices of different Vodka's and the wine list is endless. I guess classy is the way I would describe the decor.

“not very accommodating”
Reviewed June 12, 2013

The food was ok but the staff is not very helpful. I would not go back especially when there are so many other, better steak houses in the area.
