“Clean, quiet, safe area with outstanding staff”
Reviewed October 28, 2011

I got a great deal on a room here using Priceline-- note that while in Henrietta area, I had selected the airport north segment on the bid line and this just borders the two areas. The location was fantastic, right next to RIT if that interests you, but right around the corner from every type of restaurant and shopping you can imagine. The hotel itself is in a VERY quiet and safe area. The hotel staff was amazingly professional and friendly, with a genuine interest in making guests feel welcomed. Our room was very clean and comfortable, with nice white linens and an adjustable mattress- a little gimicky, but comfortable nonetheless. There is a nice indoor pool, fitness facility and business center if you need it. We didn't try the restaurant or room service, but nice to have as not usually available in a hotel at this price point. I would definitely stay here again.

I found that the bed was very comfortable to sleep, reasonably spacious room with adequate facilities. The food in the restaurant was good . The property is right next to RIT and it is a very pleasant walk from the hotel. The staff in the lobby and the restaurant were very friendly. Watch out for the airport shuttle timing if you have a very early morning flight. The shuttle operates only from about 5AM and it does take about 10 minutes to get to the airport. Also, the last shuttle from the airport is at 11PM. Rest, a nice place to stay and value for money !

Room Tip: Rooms closer to the lift are better, else its a long walk !

We had very comfortable commendable stay there, especially for the price we paid using Priceline, compared with the other hotels that were well over $120 a night.

First, our pleasant experiences with this hotel:

1. Extremely very-mannered, well-trained and courteous hotel staff
2. Location very easy to find
3. Crowds of hotel patrons were all taking a stroll around the hotel in the nice weather we had that day, proving how popular and hotel was and how safe the area was
4. King-size sleep-number bed was comfortable
5. No sofa bed for occasional use
6. General facilities, room and bathroom were clean and tidy
7. Reasonably quiet air conditioning in the room
8. Pool and gym available to add pleasure to the stay
9. Very good value if you can get the room for under $80-90 in the Rochester area

The following need improvement:

1. Wireless Internet connection speed, although complimentary, was as slow as a snail struggling to run away from a predator!
2. Wired Internet connection at the Business Centre was much faster but there were only two computers with CRT monitors in it. One printer was even broken so that left only one computer that was always occupied with printer connected to it.
3. Water pressure was cut down to roughly half of its original value when the shower in the next room was turned on
4. Could hear sound of TV from the room next door
5. No complimentary breakfast (but didn't expect it anyway)

Wish there was a sofa bed since we had a party of three but, other than that, the hotel should be an excellent choice for families.

We stayed here for one night on a driving trip from Maine to Buffalo watch the Bills game. Stayed here that night because every hotel in Buffalo was $100+ for that night only.

The check-in staff were very friendly. The room was just ok (room 300), we didn't inspect it closely because we got in around 10:00p and left pretty early to get to the game. The shower was hot, the bed was doable (although it was pretty hard and the control on it did very little to change this), and the TV (a large LCD one) worked. I did notice black scuff marks on the door of our room inside of the room, which made me feel like I was in a Motel 6 as opposed to a 3-star property- all it takes is a magic eraser to get that out, so it was kind of off-putting to see it in our room. The bed lacked a headboard and had large pillows propped up against the wall instead. There were ugly grease stains on the chair and sofa, again making me feel like I was at a Motel 6. We decided to keep our shoes on every time we walked on the carpet due to these dirt marks.

Overall, it was a good place to stay the night, but I probably wouldn't recommend it for more than that.

Stayed two nights with my wife and 3 kids on a summer getaway. The lobby and front desk people were great.

The room, however was a different story.

First, Radisson needs to replace their sleep number beds with something new. My last two Radisson stays were in rooms that the beds either didn't work or (in this case) were falling apart. Our room had two beds. The first night, the sides pushed outwards and both me and my wife kept falling into the space between the air bladder and the side. So the second night we used the other bed and this one deflated half-way through the night!

The bathroom had mold in the corners and clearly had not been fully cleaned cleaned and painted in quite a while even though the fixtures looked fairly new.

The housekeeping was poor. Our beds were not made. The bedspreads were simply pulled over the bedding underneath. The room was not vacuumed and the bathroom was only given a light going over.

Room Tip: Check your room thoroughly before unpacking.

It's only 10:30 p.m., and there's no room service. Despite that, the service here has been good. The front desk staff was cordial, and the bartender in the lobby bar provided excellent service. However, after several drinks in the lobby bar, I would like to be able to order food.

I am very sorry that our kitchen closes at 10 PM in the hotel. The gift shop and vending machines do have some snack items for guests that may want something late night.

This is a low-rise hotel with a max of 4 floors. I stayed in rm 231 which according to the front desk was a corner room at the end of the floor away from the elevators and stairwell. The hallways have a damp/musty smell that must come from the carpets, which could do with some steam cleaning. I could say the same about the carpet in the rooms - both my boyfriend and I had sneezing fits.

The novelty about staying here is the "sleep number" bed in the room. To be quite honest, these beds aren't any more comfortable than standard mattresses. "Inflating" the mattress is quite a noisy affair, and takes some time to adjust. The attached remote adjusts the hardness or softness of the mattress but I found the bed uneven because of all the customization involved with the automated adjustments.

The hotel is situated away from shops and restaurants but is a short drive away from the airport, which we were intending to be close to. The benefit of being away from traffic is that the rooms are quiet, only corridor noise from other guests and housekeeping can be heard but it's minimal unless it's midmorning.
