This location is an older hotel. The decor is dated and could do with some sprucing up. The doors tend to stick,so it's disturbing when other guest are trying to close their doors. The parking garage is attached to the hotel and the hotel offers a discount price of $4.00 for parking. The room has no fridge however I noticed a noticed a flyer which stated you could pay for a fridge ($15). I think it's a bit of a rip off. The bathroom is unlike other of it's kind which has a pedestal sink and little awkward. The breakfast was nice. The overall stay was pleasant.

Came for three days just before Christmas. The staff was very accommodating. The pool, hot tub and fitness area were much better than average. Rooms were good, bedding was excellent, they should have refrigerators as a standard feature; versus one you have to pay for. The wifi is free if you are a Gold Hyatt member, which is their frequent traveler program, otherwise they charge $9.95 per day, which is in bad taste given the quality and price of this hotel.

Room Tip: Free WiFi with Hyatt Gold passport.

I was at the Hyatt for large corporate holiday party. Because of special dietary restrictions (i.e. food allergies) I was not able to eat from the buffets that were set out. Julie Bumgarner was very attentive to my needs, not only providing me with a hot, delicious meal that was completely separate from the food available at the party, she continued to check in with me throughout the course of the evening, to make sure that I had everything I needed. This level of personal service and attention to detail is one of the reasons I always enjoy my time at the Hyatt.

I arrived here very late and was checked-in efficiently and without a fuss - room on one of the top floors gives a good view of Downtown Rochester . Bed comfortable and good toiletries - only downside was having to pay for Wifi which still annoys me in this day when most of the budget hotels realize that it is necessity rather than an 'extra' -Breakfast was fresh and plentiful and the location made it a quick taxi ride from the Airport- I will be back and hope to have more time to use the other facilities.

Room Tip: Ask for High Floor best views and quieter

I stayed here for 1 night and would recommend this hotel to anyone staying in rochester. Despite having an awful stay the staff was wonderful. Our trip started with a great front desk agent. Very friendly girl welcoming and helpful. Our room was spacious clean and had a nice view of the city. As we had just arrived I think there was a miscommunication with house keeping as one of the cleaners opened our door and came into our room rapping like a scene out of a movie. A very awkward moment but honestly pretty funny to me and my wife. He was a nice guy but redline caught off guard. We ate at scene on main and it was very good. We wanted to do something in the city at night but it was Monday and pretty boring. This is where things took a bad turn from about 11 until about 2am some clowns in our hall would scream and shout and slam doors. About 12:50ish we became really pissed and called the front desk . There really was nothing they could do to stop it. It was so random like every 30 minutes or so. Finally at 2am it stopped but at that point we were both wide awake. I don't blame the hotel. Grown adults whom need hotel staff to babysit them it's embarrassing act like a human being or stay at some dive motel. Even at check out the workers asked if there was anything they could do. It was a nice touch.

I stayed at the Hyatt Rochester for a business trip recently held at the Conference Center. One of the best perks was the ability to stay inside when going to the Conference. A system of tunnels allows visitors to remain out of the elements while attending.

The loby/lounge area is decorated in a very modern style and the rooms mirrored this. Meals are available in the lounge and I, in fact, ate breakfast there each morning rather than the conference meal that was provided as it was fresh and the service was excellent.

There is someone continually on duty at the main door ready to answer any questions you may have about the area. It is within walking distance of many fine restraurants and entertainment. Parking is validated for guests and is under cover as well.

Overall, a very positive experience.

Room Tip: junior suites are available which are larger and for the same price as a regular double

The lobby of this hotel is very modern and upscale, which was nice. We got a double room on the top floor - the beds were very comfortable and the climate in the room was also comfortable. The only complaint is that the carpet was dirty. I took my daughter to see Vampire Weekend in the Main Street Armory and we walked there as it was only a mile away (seemed less) on the same street.
