We have been to Rizzi's many times over the past 16 years and always have a nice time. Food selection is varied and specials are interesting. You can always find something that appeals. From delicious appetizers to wonderful main dishes to special desserts, it's all good!
In warmer weather, the outside patio is perfect for relaxing with a glass of wine and enjoying the quiet evening. With a couple friends or with your special date, Rizzi's is the place.

Just returned from an unmemorable dinner at Rizzi's. A cute and cozy restaurant. We had the Sicilian Calamari appetizer that was supposed to be light. It was very heavy with oil that had soaked into the batter. The salad was fine. I had the Fra Diavolo Seafood and all you could taste was a little heat, nothing else. it was like they forgot spices. My wife had the Shrimp stuffed with feta and wrapped in bacon served on a bed of linguine and escarole. Where was the garlic this was an Italian Restaurant for God's sake. The stuffing in the shrimp tasted like salty baby food. Perhaps we shouldn't have tried their signature dishes. The service was very good, just the right amount of attention.

Rizzis is a great merchants road city area restaurant. Owner, bartender, and waitstaff are great. And of course you can't go wrong with the food. Great homemade blue cheese and dipping sauce for bread. Great fish fry and chicken French too! Nice selection of food choices. Cozy little Intimate bar and eating area. Make a trip to rizzisRizzis if u have never been there.

We visited with another couple on the evening of Nov. 19, 2011. We arrived at our reservation time and were promptly seated in a booth in the area facing the bar. It's not a bad location within the restaurant, fairly private and that seating area is walled off from the bar so noise was not an issue. We were able to converse comfortably all evening. Started off with cocktails and wine at the table. Therein was where one of the issues arose...no draft beer, AT ALL? Two of us like darker, more flavorful beers vs. the usual regimen of Coors/Bud Light, etc. Darkest bottle beer was Guiness...but only 3 bottles in inventory...on a Saturday night...how do you not have inventory? At least our server saved them for us. Sam Adams next closest option. Chose artichoke hearts and lightly fried calamari for apps. Both were good and flavorful...with ample portion size certainly sharable for two. I had the Seafood Fra Diavolo dinner entree, with a small non-descript side salad. Nice option was offered by wait person to add more spice to my dinner if I desired as such. Others had various dinner items and all were very happy with their selections. We declined dessert. Dinner was OK, not remarkable, but good. Atmosphere was comfortable and conversation was easy amongst our party of four. Our server was very attentive, pacing of the evening was spot on. Small off street parking lot. We've never been here in the summer, but the patio looked inviting during Rochester's all too short summer. Would we return? Yes, but not on our short list of restaurants.

The wife and I moved over to the neighborhood back in April and stumbled in here on a Monday night for dinner after unpacking and were absolutely floored by the quality, quantity, and overall taste of the food. We are foodies, with us both working/growing up in the biz, and know our p's and q's when it comes to how a run a joint. These guys have it nailed. Since that fateful April night, we are regulars now, and have told everyone about it. I would highly recommend Rizzi's.
