I have held large picnics here in one of the shelters here every year. If they are not reserved- then it's first come, first served. Restrooms are clean, but be sure to bring T.P. and soap or hand sanitizer as sometimes they are not stocked. Large open areas to spread out on. Lots of places to hike, bike and explore. Dog Park (must have membership) is a fun way to exercise your dog. THere is a stables close by that you can go on a horseback ride about 1- 1/2 hours long too!
