“It's a marathon, not a sprint- Pace your eating!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed September 16, 2013

Note to self: Next time I go to a Brazilian Steakhouse I will not eat lunch that day:) We've been to this sort of place before and really enjoyed it. This was a special occasion for our anniversary and we were not disappointed. Needless to say, we jumped in a little eager and should've taken our time a little. First of all, the décor was very cool- reclaimed wood furniture, nice tiling and the use of Edison bulbs. Very nice atmosphere. Salad selection was diverse- different sorts of salads, veggies, cheese, breads, soups. The meats & seafood were wonderful and perfectly done. Loved the sirloin tips, even the sausage was good. Really great way to try things you normally may not order as well. We will definitely go back but we will make a point to not be afraid to use the "stop" card! Also, excellent sangria! We ate so fast we stuffed ourselves and were useless the rest of the night. You'd think we were amateur eaters!

“Clothline Art show delight”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed September 8, 2013

After spending a wonderful fall day at the Rochester annual Cloth line art festival we walked to the eSpada Brazilian Steak restaurant at Village gate. The menu offers three endless fare selections; green, silver and gold.
My wife chose the green fare which included an endless salad bar and grilled pineapple. The salad bar was excellent with dozens of Brazilian style greens, rice dishes and exotic creations.I ordered the silver fare which included the salad bar and grilled meats hand carved at our table. the Parmesan crusted pork, the Brazilian steak and bacon wrapped chicken was especially delicious. The food keep coming to the table until we had to surrender. A very enjoyable way to end our outing.

“Very good meal”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 10, 2013

We went for a birthday dinner and had a very good time. This is a typical Brazilian style restaurant- lots of meat!

The salad bar is smaller than I have seen at other places but tasty none the less. The hot portion of the salad bar was typical Brazilian style, rice, pasta, beans, etc.

The servers walk around with different cuts of meat on a skewer and slice it directly on your plate. The meat was good, tender, but a little under seasoned except those in sauces.

The cheese rolls are excellent, we asked for a couple of complimentary servings of those.

Wine list is nice, not too pricey. We tried a very nice Chilean wine and it went very well with our meals.

We would go again.

“What I would expect from a Brazilian Steakhouse”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 7, 2013

This restaurant is located in a cute little area of shops, other restaurants and bars. I attended dinner here on a client business meeting. I have been to other Brazilian churrascaria's before in the Kansas City area. The restaurant has a great vibe.

There are 3 levels you can choose from:
1. Just the salad bar and no meat
2. The salad bar and select meats
3. All of it-everything on the salad bar ad all meats

Everyone at our table got the number 3 & a beer and our entire tab came to $54.00 per person. That was very much worth it but be warned, it's a TON of food. You better go to this place hungry to get your money's worth.

The good:
The service was good. The restaurant had nice and updated decor. I specifically liked how each bathroom was a mini-suite with a table and mirror. I was able to freshen up my makeup in private rather than in front of everyone in full view.

The bad:
This wouldn't be a Tuesday night place. Like I mentioned, Dinner and a beer will put you back $54.00 but you get a lot for your money. Save this place for a date night or the weekend when you really work up an appetite all day. That is the only "bad".. A little pricey for the average person but the pricing is what is standard for a Brazilian steakhouse and these prices were not out of line.

“Something different...”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 30, 2013

We're vegan, so not the best to rate a steakhouse. We went for the $20 green salad bar menu. It's a lot for a salad bar. There are hot options, but several of them have meat in them. You can get white rice and plain black beans. Salads were good, but not exceptional for the price. They bring you all the mashed potatoes and fried plantains you want, and they were good. Very nice staff and pleasant environment. Probably would be much better if you were into trying all the meat. An interesting change of pace, but probably won't be back.
