This is a wonderful place to visit any time of the year. Very peaceful and surrounded by Highland Park - home of the Lilac Festival.

Highland park is a local treasure. We look forward to the lilac festival every year (despite unpredictable weather). In addition to the lilacs there are lots of perennial gardens to visit, it is lovely any time of year. The Lamberton Conservatory is small but a cozy place to visit. It is generally not crowded and in the early spring it is especially delightful to be surrounded by flowers while looking out the the still gloomy weather. If you are in Rochester, I would highly recommend not only this but the nearby reservoir (great for walking) and local businesses.

There is a small fee for the conservatory, the park is free.

A breath of spring during the last days of winter. I've been here twice while there is still snow on the ground and it truly lifts your spirit. Bring a book to read while sitting among the fragrant plants and the warmth of a greenhouse.

The best Lilac collections in the United States are found at Highland Park, along with the accompanying Lamberton conservatory. The park also consists of great tree collections. Get a map at the Lamberton Conservatory.

This big sprawling park is a great big adventure unfolding around you, I keep discovering new bits to explore.

There are some great trees that have low branches for toddlers (and people like me who dont do climbing!), lots of great opportunities for youngsters to learn about nature firsthand, space to run around, stroll, picnic, get lost in a book or just take a nap.

If all that isnt enough there's the conservatory, a gothic castle, highland bowl and more to visit.
