I attended ZooBrew for the first time this past Friday and I was astounded! It was absolutely wonderful and a great idea for the community and the zoo! We loved the food and beverages and of course the animals! This is just what Rochester needed....it was clean, professional, a festival type atmosphere and the $10 admission ticket was affordable, appropriate and of course for a good cause. If you haven't gone to one yet, do so in the future. The parking was tight so park in the neighborhood outside the main entrance. It was a good thing to see the parking lots full as it meant that this event is a great success. Kudos to SPZ for coming up with this idea.....we will go back. It is 21 and up which is great to have a happy hour atmosphere with no kids. So Nice!!!!!

This zoo has come a long way. I love down the street from it and every year, i enjoy seeing what new additions they have. The newest big thing of this zoo is the safari area. They made a whole section look like an african safari with the proper animals. The coolest part is the area where the lions are, they have a big safaris tour bus that was made to be a section of the fence so people can go on the bus and look out the windows at the lions as if they were driving by. Recently the lions had a couple cubs and they are the cutest playing out in the fields.

It's fun for friends. They sell a few ok beers and a few good ones. They also have frozen drinks for the people who don't like beer. All approximately $5 each. It makes the zoo a little more fun as an adult.

I've also gone during the day when it hasn't been a zoo brew and they have a good amount of animals to make it worth your time and money.

When my kids were younger we used to come here every week. in the Winter they plow all the paths, so the kids would wear snow gear and hike the whole zoo. It's a great value to have a membership here. We usually bring in our own food as we don't care for what they serve. They have a covered picnic area that is heated in Winter.
