“Great time & very informative”

My 4 year old daughter & I just recently visited the George Eastman House. We were there to see the Gingerbread House display. While we were there we toured the house and got to see the old cameras and photography exhibits. We both we very interested and glad we went. I highly recommend this as a fun & educational experience.

“interesting house, great story”
Reviewed November 10, 2013

Good mix of variety on photography and George Eastman. The only think that would have made it better is if they let me doodle on the organ (not gonna happen) and if they had a B&W photo lab to show how film and prints are developed. This is a vanishing art and should be passed along before everyone forgets.

“Well worth a visit”

Even if you are not a photo buff, Eastman House is worth a visit. The photography exhibits are of interest to photo and art lovers. The house is an amazingly well restored mansion. (See the photos.)

On Sunday at 2 pm there is a guided tour of the mansion, the guides were terrific and the tour was fun and interesting.

There is a museum store and snack bar, so you can enjoy the mansion and have a snack.

If you are passing by Rochester NY on the I-90 it is an easy 2-3 hour stop that you will enjoy.

“More than just pictures”

I have been here on a couple of occasions for parties and community events. They show movies at the Dryden Theater located in the house. The Oscar Gala is a don't miss event. Catering was from offsite purveyors.
