This is a great museum to learn about George Eastman, photography, and also to just see how the rich used to live!

“facinating house, fasinating story”
Reviewed January 6, 2012

I would recommend going on the guided tour. The tour guide is very knowledgable and brings the history to life. The house is not completely restored so there are not a lot of rooms to see but the rooms that are open are well worth seeing.

“The History of "Say Cheese!"”

See historic and modern exhibits. See George Eastman's "great room" complete with organ and animal heads! New exhibits year round and the Dryden Theatre for classics.

“A gem in Rochester”
Reviewed January 5, 2012

This museum is Kodak magnate George Eastman's amazing 1920's era house, plus a museum devoted to photography and movies. The grounds are as beautiful as the home. Many wedding parties have their photos taken there. I would be happy to go back again.

“Great Activity, Amazing Man”
Reviewed December 30, 2011

We got there early and took the tour with a docent. It was perhaps the best tour we have ever had for a historic house like this. The docent was fantastic, and had many wonderful stories about Eastman and his exploits. The house was very interesting to see, and we even had a very good lunch there after the tour. Overall, a great one-half day!!
