lots to see and do, some hands on things to do with the kids. there is a boat ride on flanders bay to a remote beach to observe sea life. you could go in the tank to feed the sharks, of course in a cage with scuba equiptment. there is also a pool where you could swim with the baby sharks and stingrays with snorkel gear. these are an additional charge but well worth the experience. the butterfly room is so cool. lots of colorful ones flying around and they land on your shoulder or hand, so cool. plan on spending the day, there is lots to see. great for teens as well.

My wife and I took two of our Grandkids to visit Riverhead and took them to see this attraction after a walk along the river. It's just the right size for a five year old and a one and a half year old. They loved to touch the horseshoe crabs and sting rays! The number of tanks where just right for their attention span. My only complaint is the cost and all the additional charges.

I love aquariums. If I lived further west I would head into the Brooklyn Aquarium by Coney Island, When you finish visiting the aquarium you can walk to the beach or the amusement park. Or take the ferry to Conn. Aquarium.
Of the three Brooklyn is my favorite. None compare to the Monterey Bay Aquarium
I can walk to LI Aquarium so am getting a family membership.
The touch tank is fun. The exhibits are nice but the whole place is compressed.
I always feel nickle and dimed when I go there. You can not leave without going through the expensive gift shop.
Food is expensive and not really worth the expense.
Staff is friendly.

We thought it would be just average and were happily surprised at the attraction. All aquariums are expensive as their overhead is huge, but we really felt this was a worthwhile place to visit, and loved the stingray exhibit! A great rainy day excursion.

Liked this aquarium - it wasn't crowded and they had a nice selection of animals. It was a nice surprise to find it right next to the hotel!
