Last night we never got to the food.

The deafening music, which I had already heard at the gym that morning, made it impossible to have a conversation over dinner. The table next to us 'saw our pain' and shouted that they had been begging for less soundtrack since they arrived. We asked the front desk to turn it down and they just smiled. We asked our waiter to turn it down and he said he 'wasn't authorized' ----and never came back. So we left and drove down the road to Love Lane Kitchen in Mattituck, where not only was the food delicious and with excellent service, but conversation is permitted.

Cool vibe, and the food was actually excellent. It ends there. Sat at our table far too long before anyone acknowledged us. Waiter was friendly and knowledgeable, but it didn't matter if he doesn't come by to ask us about drinks, and if we are okay. Maybe they ought to not allow smoking at the front door outside. Not a pleasant beginning when you have to walk thru a loud of smoke on way in. Aren't their laws about that? Anyway, it's worth it for the food but if you're like me, you probably won't put yourself thru other frustrations to try it. Or try it when it isn't very busy.

The decor is cool however I did not find it worth the price. It was a cool Monday evening. The restaurant was unacceptably cool. We opted for outside. They should invest in a few heaters as it was cool outside. The food took exceptionally long to arrive. The waiter checked after food was delivered but never checked back until time to order dessert. Staff was polite but not friendly. Steak is small for price and not marinated. Eggplant parm is 3 small medallions over chopped tomoatoes and basils. Bread that was served was not warm. They never brought more bread or asked if we wanted more. If I return it would be for drinks at the bar not to eat. Outside seating overlooks what seems like a boarding house and the parking lot needs alot of work.

We had a wonderful dinner. The food was very fresh-loved their harvest salad. Great menu- a lot of local produce and wines. It can get very busy and noisy. Front desk people could be a little friendlier

My wife and I had dinner here as part of our wedding anniversary celebration on August 12. What a jewel. If your travels don't take you through Riverhead, take a detour, go out of your way to visit TRP. You won't regret it. Food, service and decor are all off the scale.

I had the Lobster Pierogies and Seared Local Scallops and my wife had the Pan Roasted Striped Bass. All were perfectly prepared and delicious. The Chef sources everything possible locally, so you know you are having the freshest foods available and helping to support the local economy at the same time. The service was attentive without being intrusive.

Although the prices are on the high side, on balance with what you are getting, it is an excellent value.

The decor is upscale trendy with most of the lighting coming from hundreds of candles. Quite a change from the appearance of the bank that used to occupy the premises.
