In a nutshell: Hotel Indigo made a serious error with my booking, arguing that my booking was not in the system despite me paying for the room already (422 dollars a night), and then refused to help me in fixing the problem.
The person at reception, who seemed grossly inexperienced and terrible at his job, basically said it was not the hotel's mistake, and therefore not their problem. He did not alert the manager, and would not even give me the time of day to even try and help me out.
I then spent 2.5 hours on the phone with TripAdvisor, who booked my room, only to find out IT WAS in fact a mistake on Hotel Indigo's part. Those were nearly 3 hours I planned on using very differently, in exploring the area, and getting ready for a wedding rehearsal.
Once that was made clear, the hotel manager Lawrence, made no effort to try and compensate us for his employees treating us like absolute crap, for our wasted hours, and for our late check in. He offered to "buy me a drink". No thanks buddy. How about a discount??? When you are paying $422 a night, you cannot be treated this way. I also intend on sending out a very detailed letter to their customer service team. No customers should be treated this way...More
