Our baseball team stayed at the Lake House in August for dreams park baseball. We did not know what to expect at at Inn that holds so many people but we were pleasantly surprised. The grounds are beautiful, the food was excellent and the rooms all had a large common area to cook, eat meals, and watch tv or play video games. Some of us went water skiing and boating on our free time while others played ball on the lawn. We would definitely recommend this hotel for parents with families of baseball teams .

The first thing we do each morning as a service team is check out and review our reviews. What a way for us to start the day....that is by reading what you wrote about what we offer the public and the manner in which we serve....our greatest asset....our clientele. Please revisit us time and time again and feel free to introduce yourself so that we may thank you in person. We have passed this wonderful review to Ruth who was elated with your comments.

An incredible bed & breakfast experience! Food & wine are excellent. Service is impeccable. And the location is breathtaking (view of lake at sunset is awesome)!

This Lakehouse was filthy. Our team experienced the lack of hospitality starting with a Bed & Breakfast that didnt serve Breakfast or coffee! Dogs, a cat , and spiders were roaming the property, kitchen and bedrooms. The concept of the Lakehouse was great although the property was filthy and unkept for it looked to be many years. The sheets, towels were musty, cobbwebs in the corner, dead spiders on the walls, flies everywhere (dont keep food there - they will get it),

The dinner menu was over priced. I was a little thrown off by the security cameras in the common area upstairs while hanging out with the families. This is a room rental, not a bed and breakfast.

Gene and Chris are very nice people. I just think it needs an overhaul!

We just love going back to The Lake House many times. It feels like home because you are treated like family! The rooms are charming and clean. The food is excellent with a tasty glass of wine or a drink. Live music with dinner and what a wonderful breakfast! The views are lovely, so peaceful and relaxing! There are attractions nearby; Cooperstown, antiquing, boating, opera or taking a peaceful walk. But just sitting, relaxing, reading on the beautiful lawn near the lake is what I love. I always look forward to a long weekend at the wonderful Lake House! You just can't go wrong!

Had the pleasure of staying at the Lake House for a week during my son's baseball tourney at Cooperstown. We had 7 families occupy the 2nd floor and another family in the cottage. Gene and Chris were very accomodating, making us feel right at home. The food in the restaurant was great and we really enjoyed kicking back on the deck or down by the water and re-hashing the games. The boys came back a few times during the week and were able to escape the "dorm" life of cooperstown. A couple of them fished for the first time. The drive back and forth to the park was not bad at all, actually very picturesque.

Our team stayed for a week last summer at the Lake House while our boys were playing in a Dreams Park Baseball Tournament in Cooperstown. The lodge overlooks the lake and has a lots of lake frontage. We had so much space to have a place for the other kids to play, we hosted a team party on the lawn, cooked on the BBQ in the gazebo and played in the water with the canoes and rowboat. The kids caught fish and really had a great time. The lodge was simple yet elegant both inside and outside. Rooms were nicely furnished and comfortable. Breakfast was available for all that wanted it and was delicious. The Lake House is an awesome place for entire baseball families to stay while their sons are at Dreams Park playing baseball. We really enjoyed our stay and would recommend the Lake House to any team needing lodging for a week.

What interests us most when we travel, is to visit places that are unique, comfortable and interesting. We aren't fans of big places or chain type hotels/motels. We want to be off the beaten path in a place that will create a memory for us. We found exactly what we were looking for when we recently spent the weekend at the Lake House in Richfield Springs, New York. It is so relaxing and has the added feature of being very close to the Baseball Hall of Fame. For two all time Yankee fans, it was perfect. We enjoyed dinner in the tavern with the glow of the many stained glass lights the owners have collected over the years, listened to the live piano music on Friday and on Saturday came back for another great dinner- I had the stuffed rainbow trout- it was outstanding- as an added bonus in addition to the piano music there was a saxaphone player and a singer. We really had a wonderful weekend and will return for more great food and the relaxing atmosphere next year.
