The salad and maincourse were served within minutes of each other so everyone had to hustle to find room on the table for everything. One of our friends said the salmon was overcooked and another said the chicken kiev was deep fried to a point where she could eat very little. Two of us had haddock francais and neather looked like the same dish. Mine was smothered in a horrible sauce that the tasted like white wine had just been poured over the dish with no lemon flavor at all. The worst part was the fish was broken up in small pieces as if it was thrown on to the dish and the mashed potatos looked like someone laid a pot on them. The other haddock francais had no sauce at all. Really bad meals and a small glass of wine was $6.50. Definitely not a place I'd go again.

Thanks for your comments and observations. They are appreciated. It is a great old building and we do like a mix of things and enjoy collecting lots of things. It is nice to own a big building and to be able to enjoy them. We appreciate your business. Thanks!

We took my 92 year old mother out for a Mother's Day dinner at the Lakehouse. She uses a walker and the handicap entrance was easy for her and made the beginning of our afternoon flawless. We were seated immediately and the drink order was taken and served quickly. Mom requested coffee and a new pot was brewed for her. Chris and Gene both came out to greet us and Chris helped Mom decide on the roasted pork loin with fresh green beans and baked sweet potato. Fred and I both had the perfectly cooked filet mignon with mashed potatoes and green beans. Our entrees followed a green salad and delicious homemade bread. For dessert we chose bread pudding and creme brûlée, both of which were delicious and lthe portions were large. The beautiful view completed a perfect experience.

We are honored by the review you posted about your experience with us. While we are constantly told face to face how much customers enjoy our service, it takes a very special person to proclaim to the online world that they should check us out. You are one of those individuals and we are proud that you do business with us, Christine Corrigan, owner.

We are in the brew business but love wine too! We saw an ad on the net for a top 100 ranking wine bottle, with every night stay. So when we checked it out, it was a great deal. We stayed for 3 nights and could not have been happier plus 3 bottles of great wine.

A waitres in Cooperstown suggested this place since it is on the lake and we wanted to see ice fisherman , we live in the dessert. The restaurant was closed till April. Our stay was wonderful and we did see a lot of ice fishermen, snowmobilers and we even watched a plane lane in front of the Lake House.

The first thing we do each morning as a service team is check out and review our reviews. What a way for us to start the day....that is by reading what you wrote about what we offer the public and the manner in which we serve....our greatest asset....our clientele. Please revisit us time and time again and feel free to introduce yourself so that we may thank you in person. We have passed this wonderful review to Ruth who was elated with your comments.

The restaurant was closed but I was staying there so the owner prepared me a delmonico steak that was delicious. Every place was closed so this was a great option that was really nice.
