I had the scallop dinner and it was cooked well with a rice dish and summer squash.
My husband had the Bouillbaise and rated it tops.
The bottle of wine was $9 more expensive than the same one we had the next night elsewhere in Rhinebeck.
This was a 47th anniversary celebration.

Thank Marcia Mae

While leaf peeping (Oct 04) we liked the setting of the town of Rhinebeck as well as the restaurant, so stopped to eat. We sat in a cozy greenhouse room looking over their well trimmed garden onto Main Street.
The food was delightful and fresh tasting. The halibut was served with a choice of squash, potatoes or couscous, We had the squash and couscous, Both had been prepared well, light in flavor but delicious. No strong after tastes We also tried a basic ruben sandwich served with freshly made potato salad. Another delicious meal with the potato salad having one of my personal favorite flovors of dill added.
Dessert was just as impressive. Apple pie alamode, which was large enough helping that two people shared it. The other dessert we tried was the Napolean, extremley light to eat but terrific taste. Fresh fruit on the side of wafers separated with custard.
Strongly recommend eating there. Service was also great, as well as prices being in line with other eateries in the area.
