Hotel is a little tired..Front staff and room staff were very accomodating..We must have gotten a new bed..We both had a good night sleep..The A/C(heater)unit was VERY quiet..Which is almost impossible..I didn't need ear plugs..The morning breakfast was more than sufficient..We had a room facing downtown..Both mornings, when the sun rose through the clouds,it was only shining on the city..cool view

The hotel is a little depressing looking, but it's not bad for a HI Express, I guess. The front desk staff is friendly, but everything is just depressing. The beds are nicely made up, but you'll slide off the mattress if you try to sit on the edge since they are old and need replacing. One of the duvets had "bottom of bed" written on the end in sharpie -- funny since the maid put that side facing the headboard. Really uncomfortable bed and cheap linens/duvet. Toiletries were cheap and smelled weird.

The decor and the free breakfast buffet -- they had a cool pancake machine, but the omelets and poached eggs tasted like plastic. Free wifi, and there's a pool and spa. But it's geared toward family and business, so you'll probably end up sharing the jacuzzi with a 13-year-old. Awkward.

Good value if you're bringing a family but you might be irritated if you worked a full day and came back to relax because everything is just old and smells like cigarettes. Nothing was terribly bad, but nothing was really good either.

Room Tip: get a room facing the front of the hotel so you can see the Albany skyline

This is a Holiday Inn Express under renovation. Since they have limited rooms available, they could not accomodate a room change. A "wedding party" had booked much of the hotel and there were numerous little children running back and forth continually upstairs. We were also right across from the pool which had numerous other children. I love children, but when mine were younger, I generally tried to be aware of their actions while in public. They did do to bed a little after 9 pm, but were back in action at 7 am.

This is another of the quick build hotels which allow a high degree of room-to-room noise, such as slamming doors or pounding feet. If that type of thing bothers you, you are forewarned.

The room attendant did not spend too much time cleaning. Phone and lights were dusty and there were toenail clippings on one bed and dried food pieces under the couch (sleeper couch) cushions. Sleeper couch bed was saggy. Pillows were lumpy and a couple smelled of cheap purfume. Maybe it will be better once renovation is complete, but the room was far from pristine now.

We'll not return to this hotel.

We stayed here as part of a motorcycle group. We arrived late and in the pouring rain. Staff were awesome in helping us check in and let us keep th bikes under the covered entry for the night. The rooms were well appointed and comfortable. Breakfast was provided and well stocked. It was a very nice hotel and well worth the money.

Conveniently located off the I-90 and a good price point but very tired looking rooms.
Friendly front desk staff.
Pool was closed for maintenance which was very disappointing for the kids.
Decent buffet breakfast.

I stayed here last weekend while visiting my child at a camp in Chatham, NY - what a terrific hotel. Centrally located - about 10 minutes from downtown Albany with plenty of shops and eateries around. Large room with 2 queen beds, free wifi and a large bathroom. Nice pool and hot tub area and a free breakfast with plenty of choices. Quite a bargain for what you get in return. Will definitely return here!

Room Tip: My room was on one of the top floors and faced the highway - I slept like a baby.

We stayed at this property two weekend nights. There are signs the building is undergoing, or is about to undergo renovation. I hope so, since the carpets are filthy and the hotel is looking quite worn in places.

It's difficult to give this property an unbiased review since they hosted one or more little league teams during our stay. This led to unsupervised children running the halls, an elevator floor covered with snack chips, and no seating at breakfast. We did manage to get a few breakfast items on a tray to have in our room.

The price was reasonable for the area, and there is a nice sports bar adjacent with decent food. Both the hotel and the sports bars offer outstanding views of the area.

We found the front desk staff to be knowlegeable and friendly.

Perhaps we can return after the renovation to review the property when the little League is not in town.
