I'm a chocaholic. Their choice of chocolate desserts are sinful. I was there one other time and had a great soup. What struck me as neat was the presence of Bard College students sitting around eyes intent on their PC's.....Seemed like they were studying for exams and wanted LOTS of comfort food around them...just like home.

Stopped in for chocolate as a treat for my better half. What woman doesn't like chocolate?? No disappointment here, but there is so much other food, you have to seek out the chocolate in the back. Great coffee, muffins, sandwiches etc. A lot of young folks hanging out with their laptops.

I come here at least once a week (usually 3-4 times)! Their beverages are delicious (try the Tahitian Moo or Mocha Breeze). They also have food specials that change every week--these are usually unique and very tasty! I love their quesadillas, paninis, breakfast sandwiches, and desserts!! They recently started a great texting point system, where for each dollar you spend you get a point (if you text your order #). And after each 20 or so points, you get some kind of reward (free coffee, free confections, free pastry, etc.) The handmade confections are delicious and beautiful--would make a great gift for anyone! The atmosphere here is fun, lots of Bard students study here, and there is often live music or poetry readings. When the weather is nice, it's fun to sit outside. This coffee shop is so much better than any chains in terms of quality, service, value and experience!!

Thanks so much for this review, we really appreciate it! We also appreciate your continued business. As you have experienced, we work hard everyday in our attempt to make everyones visit to Taste Budd's a special one. Our biggest problem right now is keeping up with the lunch rush orders(which I guess is a good thing). We are constantly learning new ways to serve our fresh foods faster(although we do not consider ourselves fast food). This week we have our new small and large salad bowls which we think look great and are much easier to eat from than the plates(especially since our salads are huge!). Thanks again, see you at Taste Budd's! Dan Budd

Nice little relaxed cafe with classic college town feel--you can hang out here with laptop and work after a cup of coffee or come for a casual meeting. Good assortment of unusual sandwiches--owner is a chocolate maker so save room for dessert. Favorite with Bard students and the knitting crowd.

Live music on Saturdays and Sundays, 1pm-3pm. Good coffee too, they have free wifi, and loads of comfy chairs and sofas.
