Dry and tastes like old food from the fridge.
I have had real BBQ from Memphis, North Carolina, and Texas.
This is a cheap imitation that you can buy from Sam's club.
Staff is lousy and drinks suck.
Go to stewarts and get some hot dogs instead

Not sure if it's the "best in Hudson Valley," but the BBQ here is fine. Ribs were good, pulled pork too. The sides, especially the collard greens, were delicious. The mac & cheese was served piping hot. Good selection of beers and inside is newly renovated. It ain't Memphis. But it's a worthy stop on Rte. 9 just south of Red Hook.

We were looking forward to a favorite Restaurant reopening but were extremely disappointed. Not only did the menu change for the worse, the prices went up, the place felt shabby and worse, the food was not good at all. I had brisket that was not only flavorless, it was rubbery and under cooked. All of the food was lacking. Mostly dry as if pre-prepared and warmed over. The only thing that was good was the salad, which was not something that could be cooked ahead of time. I felt bad for the waitress who did her best. We will not go back. And that is sad, because we are local and it used to be a favorite.

This restaurant always seems to have a full parking lot and after eating here I understand why. It's not cheap eating but it's not expensive either.
Service is good and the food is too.
If you're in the mood for BBQ (and it seems like a lot of people are) this is the place to go in Red Hook.
