We did not have high expectations. Any service organization that won't bother to respond to patrons questions after they have made a very expensive reservation really doesn't deserve the business.

The Suites: Meh. Very spacious, almost stark, but very clean. What the hotel won't tell you(even if you ask) is that you can't play a DVD, so don't bother. You might be able to find pay per view somewhere IF your TV works. Internet access is sporadic. You can get it in the lobby, but rooms are hit or miss. When you consider people are squeezing 15 people into 2 rooms, the complaints about noise make a lot of sense. I think we were next to them.

The WaterPark - Yes, the water is colder than it should be. Yes, the chlorine smell will just about choke you, but after watching a child vomit into a raft and no one did anything about it, I was pretty happy about all the chlorine. Plenty of rafts in the lazy river, and the conveyor that brings the giant rafts up to the giant slide is also working. For the most part, it was not crowded, most people were respectful and the kids had an absolute blast. The tree house is best geared for ages 3-8 and the big slides to kids 8-12.

Johnny Rockets - This delivers exactly what it promises and the kids love it. Can't understand why someone will pay $500 for a room, then complain about an $8 burger.

All in all, it was a successful visit. There is much that can be improved for the rates Great Escape Lodge is charging, but they seem to not want to hear about what can be improved or what customers would actually like. For the value, we will likely go elsewhere next time.

I would recommend the hotel and the water park. Plenty of options at the water park. Staff was pleasant. Lazy river actually was very popular with water that moved you around. Ate dinner at Johnny Rocket's. Expensive but convenient if you don't want to leave the hotel. Hotel is not really quiet but considering the number of kids running around it wasn't too bad. Door slamming is an issue. The hotel was packed but the lines in the water park, if they existed, were fine. Check in is 4 but we got in at 2 and used the park for 3 hours. You can stay the entire next day as well but must check out before 11. A nice bday for my son.

Room Tip: Ground floor for special needs.

We went the first weekend of the year..It was freezing out with much snow,,but the waterpark was warm and humid...It was kinda weird looking up at the roof and seeing snow while walking around with just your swimming gear on.The place for the most part is very clean..I have to give the housekeeping department some credit for working so hard with 100's of kids running around everywhere. All employees were very friendly..We enjoyed our stay even though we had to leave twice because of fire alarms..

The restaurants and bar were good but if you need to get out for something different a Golden Corral is near by..I thought I was going to enjoy sitting in the lobby by the fireplace and do some reading but it was to cold in the lobby because of the main entrance doors.

I was also a little disappointed because I thought we were getting a free continental breakfast on our last day but I found out it wasnt for the day advertised but for the guest who were staying or arriving that Sunday for the next morning.

All rooms are accessible to the park easily. The rooms are clean, quite, and comfortable. We had a two room suite and a double room for our party of fifteen and there were no issues with either one. I would suggest reservations even at the diner. This will allow them to schedule adequate staff. They struggled one night with our party of fifteen because of a previously scheduled birthday party.

Room Tip: Quiet, clean, and comfortable with plenty of room to relax.

Took my grandkids there for a little break from mom and dad, we had a fantastic time. The only negative thing is I would have preferred a restaurant there that you could sit down and order a nice steak at the end of the day.

Fantastic place to spend a young birthday. Perfectly equipped with non stop fun at the indoor waterpark. The traditional 2 room suite was perfect for our 2 family stay. The only concern which is the noise level at night (probably from all the excitement of children).

Room Tip: If there are suites upstairs I would stay there since the noise there sounds like a herd of elephant...

Great value with indoor waterpark, kids club and arcade. Even with freezing weather outside everyone able to have fun and get some exercise. Especially enjoyed having a cabin with bunkbed inside room giving us all a little privacy. Enjoyed dinner at the Harvest Restaurant where Rachel Ray is know to eat when she is in Glen Falls, NY. Great food! It is located a short distance from the Great Escape Lodge.
