“Not 5 star but friendly”
Reviewed October 16, 2013

In the middle of the small center of Pound Ridge, NY, there is a luncheonette, which will not draw patrons from miles around, but if you live in Pound Ridge you will find your neighbors and friends and their little children (the older ones being in school) here. The noise decibel is quite high but no one seems to mind and the menu has all the familiar and satisfying choices for mother and little one. Soup of the day, chili, grilled cheese, hamburger, all the satisfying favorites and to top it off, excellent ice cream. The service is perfectly adequate and by the number of diners, the only fault of the place is that it's not open for dinner. So, if you're driving through this little hamlet and want to stop for a meal, go on in.

“Lovely Breakfast in Westchester County!”
Reviewed September 3, 2013

Outdoor breakfast dining at Blind Charlie's is especially nice. You get to enjoy the charming antique ambiance of Scotts Corners in Pound Ridge while enjoying fresh breakfast fare. Very reasonably priced and a great way to start a weekend morning. You will have to wait in line for an outdoor table.

Eaten here many times for breakfast and lunch. The Blind Charlie's omelette is fantastic.. Service is always friendly and efficient. Seating outside when the weather permits is lovely. A reliable and terrific place.

We all had amazingly fresh and tasty food... excellent service...only issue ... open longer!!!!!
At Least till 2 pm on a Sunday morning for the early brunch people. BUT they did let us sit and finish while they were cleaning up .... I had a LOBSTER OMELET that was FANTASTIC!!!!
The griddle cakes looked amazing as did the other plates of food eaten and enjoyed!

“This supposed "lunch" place closes at 1:00 PM! FAIL”
Reviewed April 23, 2013

I really look forward to eating the food here, because I hear it's great. But Charlie must actully be blind, becaue the huge, carved, wooden sign on the outside of the establishment clearly says "LUNCH" is served. Well, it's not served after 1:00 on Sundays (which, I have observed, is a common time for people in America to sit down to lunch ). Instead, Charlie locks the doors and refuses to respond to curious, hungry, perplexed potential customers who knock at 1:20 PM. No one even popped their head out and said "beat it, ya bums!" Not serving lunch after 1:00, PLUS not responding to a knock? That's two bad policies stacked on top of each other, particulary when the restaurant was full of people finishing their tony, "early" lunches, watching us through the window with amusement. We felt like Rick Moranis in Ghostbusters, when he was trying to get into Tavern on the Green to escape from the Gatekeeper / Demon Dog thing created by Zool, and he's banging on the window screaming, but everyone inside just looks up from their fruit salad and shrugs, and then turns their faces back to their plates as he's devoured in the pachysandra and transformed into the Keymaster. Someone please read this reivew to old Charlie. He needs to hear this. Later, yo! (drops mic)
