“Fresh Hibatchi at a decent price”
Reviewed November 5, 2012 via mobile

Have come here several times for birthdays and other celebrations. Do go for the Hibatchi. It's fun and entertaining and the food tastes fresh and delicious. I usually get the filet shrimp combo. Nice sake variety as well. Have gone to more expensive places with lower quality experience and food.

“Don't Let the Appeal of the Shopping Plaza Keep You Away!”
Reviewed October 4, 2012

We have been here twice so far once for sushi and once for Hibachi, the Hibachi is Very Good. You get a lot of food with the Hibachi and the whole experience is very entertaining so go with your family or a group of friends. I have eaten at several restaurants in shopping plazas in the area before and have had the worst experiences. So I did turn up my nose to the idea of eating here for a while, but Kobe Hibachi is an exception at least in this area. The inside looks nothing like the outside in fact I was shocked upon entering it has a very contemporary feel to it and the staff is very friendly and accommodating.

“Great Overall Experience”
Reviewed September 7, 2012

Third time visiting and each time has been consistently great. We've eaten twice in the main dining room and had my younger daughter's birthday party in the hibachi room. The atmosphere is warm, colorful and exciting. The wait staff is friendly and appropriately attentive. The food is nicely presented in fairly large portions and tastes great. We just returned from our most recent visit this evening. We ordered a Thai curry tofu / vegetarian dish and 3 brown rice sushi rolls to share. All were well spiced and very fresh. We had eel avocado, California and shrimp tempura rolls. There's also a fish tank to amuse the kids and a very unobtrusive bar with flat screen TV tucked away in a corner to amuse the adults. We highly recommend this oasis hidden inside the otherwise plan / dull PriceChopper and Dialysis Center strip mall.

“Dont let the location scare you away!!”
Reviewed June 7, 2012

Ate there last night for the 1st time. Had heard about it in the area but still wasnt sure. It wasnt till I came on here and found that some other fellow "trip advisors" had been and reviewed it that I was willing to give it a go. IM SAD I WAITED SO LONG TO GO.
The location of this place is terrible. Its right next to the Dialysis center and in a very old and run down shopping center that hardly has any traffic in it at all now a days with the slow economy. And unfortunately it sits so far back off the main Route 9 that unless you know its there you would pass it by.
Walking in we were pleasantly taken aback by the decor and cleanliness of the place. It was light and bright and didnt smell as so many other hibatchi/sushi places do. The staff was really pleasant and helpful and very attentive to us and our toddler. At one point when the child was crying they even came by and offered a lollipop!! Who does that anymore?? It was a very nice touch.
Service was prompt and friendly. And the staff "authentic" without sounding racist... I appreciate going to an asian resteraunt and having asian cooks and staff. It just makes the experience more authentic for me.
The sauces (mustard and teriyaki) which are standard at all hibatchi places were ok. Personally I found them to be a little on the sweet side and watered down but they were ok. The salad and soup were good and came out fast and the drinks were strong. We didnt order sushi but we will next time because the couple sitting with us did and it looked delicious!! Our meals were cooked well and fast and again, very good. It happened to be a member of our group's bday and we ordered a banana split, they came out and did the "gong" and bday song and nicely, didnt even charge us for the dessert once the bill came. I would definately recommend this place to anyone looking for good food and a nice atmosphere. And compared to the other 2 local hibatchi resteraunts in the area, this place wins hands down. Thier biggest competitor "osho" down the road has really gone down hill.

“Great place for hibachi table cooking”
Reviewed April 23, 2012

This place was great. The hibachi table cooking experience was fun. Watch out for that sake! This place gave you soup, salad, shrimp appetizer, fried rice and noodles with your meal.
The pina colada was decent too.
