The place was busy for a Sunday night. The server was friendly and somewhat attentive. The food was pretty mediocre. $13 calamari was like eating a plate of rubber bands. The breading fell off and it tasted like old grease. The Caesar salad for $9 was a small romaine salad with two stale bread chunks and lemon juice. No garlic, anchovy.or cheese. Veal scallopini $17 was 2 pieces of veal with lemon chunks, nothing exciting. $2 extra for a small spaghetti with raw garlic. The" Mama's Favorite" was a train wreck. Gnocchi with chicken, lobster and artichokes. The gnocchi was gloopy, the.chicken tasted bland and freezer burned. The lobster meat consisted of the meat extracted from the tiny under legs of the lobster. Just spindly and way over cooked. We've had a decent meal there before. When we complained about the gnocchi the server said there was no one there that could take it off our bill. The pizza is usually pretty decent. Apparently the owner has several restaurants in Potsdam. Its a shame to just serve the cheapest food possible and charge an exorbitant amount if money. Train the kitchen staff to cook better and you could have a real great place here
