“Lobsters and clams”
Reviewed June 27, 2014

I have eaten here three times so far and never had a bad experience or food. Best part is that they have Blue moon on tap! They offer a 2 pound long neck steamed clams appetizer for only $14 with plenty of clam juice and butter. Lobsters dinners are very reasonable and even a bargain on Thursday nights. Particularly noteworthy is that I have not had an unopened clam (means they were dead before steaming) yet. Another feature is their fresh baked rolls - lovely and delicious. Service is prompt and courteous. The place gets busy so arrive before 6:30 or after 8. if not, expect a wait of 15 minutes or more.

“Pass Them By Good Only For The Fish Market”
Reviewed May 29, 2014

My husband, myself and my niece went here during The Lent Season. We ordered fish with french fries and my niece had chicken fingers and french fries (she is young). For drinks we had three sodas. When we received the bill with the tip came to $100.00. We were not happy about this. For that much money, we could have gone to a better place to eat. Also, we had to keep asking for things at our table (extra silverware, napkins and ketcup). If you want to eat fish or anything like it, please go a little more down Main Street to Port Jefferson Harbor where you have more than your share of places to chose from to eat. Also, the view is a whole lot better and you can walk around the harbor.

“Great eats!”
Reviewed May 28, 2014

This is a great seafood and fish house, everything is fresh and serves hot. Service is wonderful, restaurant is clean and the decor is nautical. It is located in Port Jefferson Long Island minutes from the Port Jeff Ferry. We have been eating there for about ten years. Good prices. Happy eating!

“Fresh seafood that is average at best”
Reviewed April 18, 2014

Ate here and of course the seafood is super fresh. Unfortunately the preparation is marginal. The best part of dinner was the corn on the cob and that is a sad statement.

New England clam chowder was served thick and piping hot. A little sweet for my taste and lacking in some spice. A decent starter. The broiled fishermans platter with flounder, scallops and a baked clam was tasteless. The shrimp and scallops overcooked. The baked clam served in a foil mock clam shell was not very good. Another dish of stuffed shrimp yielded a large amount of stuffing sorely lacking in any seafood.

Would not return.

“A great place with good food, and it is a fish market!”
Reviewed April 12, 2014

We frequent this wonderful restaurant so much, me have become friends with the wonderful wait staff. The salads are fresh, the sea food prepared beautifully, such as scallops that are soft and sweet not rubbery and tasteless. The lobster roll is as good as I have ever had and there is a nice selection of preparations of various fish and sea foods. A nice atmosphere in a good little village. Go here, enjoy, add it to your places to frequent!
